B. I ein Impulsrelais.

Fig. 6 zeigt eine Kontrollvorrichtung.

seinen Anker wieder anzieht.

<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

<Desc/Clms Page number 7>

Telecommunication and remote control equipment.
A device for remote reporting and remote control is known in which two pulse trains are used for each transmission and are separated from one another by a pause. One series of pulses is used to select the organ to be operated remotely, while the other series of pulses is a supplement to the first, in such a way that the number of the second series of pulses results from the fact that the number of the first series of pulses is subtracted from a constant number. The purpose of this arrangement is to avoid incorrect switching which would occur if additional pulses were induced in the connecting line or individual pulses would be suppressed in some way.
It has also already been proposed to carry out such a transmission method when it is a question of the transmission of a large number of individual commands and messages, with multi-digit ordinal numbers being assigned to the individual transmission processes. In this case the individual decimal places are the ordinal numbers. but at least assign a series of supplementary pulses to the total number, so that either the number of pulses per decimal place or the total number of pulses is constant for all transmission processes.
The present invention represents a device which operates in accordance with the aforementioned known devices. The. However, the invention now consists in creating means in order to even use the transmission method, which is only known in the circuit for the transmission of single-digit ordinal numbers, even for multi-digit ordinal numbers, i.e. H. To enable remote control systems with a very large number of transmitters and receivers.
According to the invention, therefore, the arrangement is made so that before the transmission of the pulse series assigned to a transmission process, each digit of the multiple ordinal numbers is mapped and stored by a corresponding position of the visual apparatus assigned to these points and that the final position of the visual apparatus assigned to the last position is the pulse transmitter automatically stimulates, which queries the position of the individual switching devices and thereby sends out different series of individual pulses.
In the following, an embodiment of the invention applied to a telecommunication and remote control device, in particular for reporting and causing status changes or switching states in electrical systems with automatic pulse transmitters and receivers in the monitoring station and in the monitored stations, is described and shown schematically in the drawing.
In the exemplary embodiment, a large number of control switches are provided in the central and remote stations, the actuation of which, via a specially designed transmitter, serves to select and transmit commands to control the switching process assigned to the control switch and its meaning, for example "On", "Off" . Similarly, the substations are each equipped with a transmitter and with contact means that cause the transmitter of the substation to issue a corresponding and unambiguous message in accordance with a switching process that has been carried out.
The commands and messages consist of the transmission of various series of impulses, which are fed to a group of switching devices, the receiver, in the central or substation, whereby
EMI1.1

the central office went to the substation or vice versa, an actuating relay for the switch of the substation or the control organs to respond. In addition, the station transmitter contains special switches. the actuation of which causes the transmitter of the outstation to report the position of all switches or the like to the control center without performing a switching change.
The transmitter of the substation always responds when there is a change in any switch position, regardless of whether the change is due to overload, manual intervention in the distribution system or the execution of a control command. The changes in status are made visible in the control center by optical or acoustic means.
EMI2.1
A multi-digit ordinal number is assigned to the holding or reporting process, the code number corresponding to an equally large number of pulses in each decade. In addition, these individual impulse series become through further impulse series, always a special one for each decade. supplemented to a constant sum.
In the exemplary embodiment, this constant sum is the same for all decades: however, it is also possible to work with different pulse sums for each decade, or with pulse differences. A pause is switched on between each pulse series corresponding to the code number of a decade and to be transmitted, as well as the pulse series that brings it to a constant number of pulses, whereby the break between these and the constant pulse numbers corresponding to the individual decades is always the same as that between the code numbers of the pulse numbers corresponding to individual decades and those that form the addition to the constant sum. In the exemplary embodiment, the constant sum is 11 and is the same for all decades.
The receiver device is designed in such a way that by means of a special device it picks up these pulse series according to the pauses and distributes them to different switching devices. Furthermore, as will be shown later, the alignment is made in such a way that the correct number of pulses must always be transmitted and received if a switching movement or a message is actually to be carried out. But as soon as the correct number of pulses and in the correct sequence has been properly received by the receiver in the central station or in the substation, an acknowledgment signal is sent back by the latter, which prevents the same pulse series from being sent again and which causes the corresponding transmitter to complete the built up and sent ordinal number extinguishes again.

Relays and special relays are provided to secure the reception process. The long-distance line FL leads from the transmitter SI and the receiver EI to the outstation via the appropriate number of contacts or relays.
Fig. 2 shows the outstation with the transmitter SII and the receiver Ell. The transmitter SII is similar to the transmitter SI of the central station. It differs only in the ski contact device, which is mechanically or electrically coupled to the switching part of the distribution system, and in a special arrangement of holding relays. The receiver Ell of an external station is also similar to that of the central station. The actuating coils EBl or EB2 and the arrangement of the toggle relays EBKl or EBK. etc. are different from the control relays of the central station. The remote line FL leads from the transmitter of the outstation via the appropriate number of contacts and relays to the central station.
FIG. 3 shows one of the control switches which must be turned in one direction or the other by the switching officer in order to initiate a switching process. Such remote control switches are available in the central station in as large a number as switching operations are to be carried out in the outstation. In addition, one or more control switches are provided in the central station, the actuation of which does not trigger a holding process, but rather they cause the transmitter of the outstation to report all the #on "and #off" positions of the switches to the central station.
Fig. 4 shows a signaling device, whereby the switching officer is made aware of the completed execution of a switching operation.
Fig. 5 also shows a signaling device with the two lamps, which correspond to the respective on and off positions of the switch, and the necessary number of relays, contacts or the like.
Fig. 6 shows a control device.
For better differentiation, the transmitter in the central station is marked with SI, the transmitter in the substations with Sil, the receiver in the central station with EI and the receiver in the substations with EIl and all switching parts assigned to a transmitter are marked with the letter S except for their actual name and all holding parts assigned to a recipient are provided with the letter E. The parts common to a transmitter and receiver do not have any special distinguishing features. The operation of the switching arrangement is as follows:
In order to cause the transmitter to issue a specific command in the substation shown, a television switch corresponding to the desired switching process must be operated.
This can be done, for example, by moving the remote control switch SS1 shown in FIG. 3 to the left

Selection of the command.
The following circuit is closed by the contacts SS11 to Sus: From the busbar plus via the contact Sv35 via Ss13, the normally closed contact Sp101. the normally closed contact Ndulo, the rotary magnet SD'10 of the single rotary selector Solo to minus. As a result, the rotary magnet of the selector SD10 receives power and starts rotating. As soon as the brush of the rotary selector SD10 runs in its path D on the contact that corresponds to the one-key number of the control switch to be operated in one direction and which is now connected to plus via its contact SS11, the test relay SPi responds.
This opens the spool contact assigned to this relay, which interrupts the selector circuit for SD10. This opens the circuit for the selector magnet SD10 and stops the voter. At the same time a circuit is closed from plus again via SV35, contact Su ", 2, which is closed by the response of the relay SP10, normally closed contact SP1001, Sdu100 and the rotary magnet SD'100 to minus. As a result, the rotary magnet SD'100 receives power and starts to turn.
The rotary selector SD100 now turns until it reaches the contact on its path, which corresponds to the code number of the first digit (decade) of this ordinal number. As soon as the brush of track D of SD100 comes to this contact, which is connected to plus via brush and contact of track D of rotary selector SD10 and via SS11, the test relay 9pian speaks and interrupts the circuit of the rotary magnet SD'100 through its contact Spi00.

With a command 3J7 z. B. the one-selector SD360 are on the seventh contact, the ten-selector SD400 on the sixth, since 57 is in the sixth decade, and the selector SDioo on the fourth contact. An ordinal number that corresponds to a switching state and is to be sent is thus built up in the following order: One. Tens.

The pulse generator SDi rotates one step, thereby interrupting the shaft rest contact Swri, whereby SA. n drops and opens its contact san again. At the same time the shaft working contact of the pulse generator SDi Swai is closed, so that the circuit for the relay is switched to the contact Swai. At the same time, the rotary magnet SDi 'interrupts the circuit for ST at its break contact Sdui, causing St to drop out. In this way, the rotary magnet SDi 'of the pulse generator SDi is also de-excited via the contact St. Sdui sehliesst again for ST, ST speaks again and via St also SDi 'etc.

But if you get the brush Subi! au the first or twelfth contact, no pulses are sent through, since in this position the circuit for winding 1 of relay J is interrupted. rather, the relay @ Suri reacts to plus via any of the corresponding first or twelfth selector contacts of the path SDiB together with the associated brush 8Bib etc. depending on the position of the pulse generator. In this way, the paths assigned to the ones, tens and hundreds selectors are scanned and the constant number of pulses for all command and reporting processes with a total of five pauses determined by the code numbers and the individual decades are transmitted to the long-distance line.
Acknowledgment of the sending process.
The transmitted pulse series are received by the remote control receiver of the outstation in a manner to be described later, and the actuating member causes the execution of the control commands assigned to the transmitted pulse series. The response transmitter of the external

After the correct transmission of the series of pulses from the central station and proper reception in the outstation, however, the central station already receives a special acknowledgment signal about the correct transmission and reception by the remote control and remote switching device.
In the exemplary embodiment, the acknowledgment signal consists of a longer pulse that arrives via the trunk line FL and the polarized receiving relay EE and via the normally closed contacts i2 of the

The rotary selector ED1 turns one step. After the end of the pulse, EE fall one after the other. EZE, EV1 and Er2. Storage of commands and messages.
After a control command has been sent out in this way, it is carried out correctly in the outstation and the same transmission process is repeated with the acknowledgment signal

has been prevented, the outstation reports the switching change carried out as confirmation that, in addition to the remote control process, the actual switching process has also been carried out correctly. However, it can now happen that a switch immediately returns to its old position after a switch change, but before the switch change has been displayed in the control center. Then the equipment reports both changes, as can be seen from the drawing of the SII transmitter to the outstation. So z.

In the event that several control switches are to be operated simultaneously or in quick succession, it is only necessary to operate the remote control switch corresponding to the individual commands, with the various commands. according to the setting of the control switch, first stored and then correctly transmitted in chronological order. This is made possible by the fact that the control switches 881 etc. (s.

If the next decimal dial corresponding to the code number of the decade of decade of the ordinal number is already occupied, the arrangement remains, temporarily stored only up to the single dialer, until the first command has been fully executed and the existing first structure of the switching devices, corresponding to a fully constructed one Order 8 number, after the sending and receiving process is canceled by the acknowledgment pulse.
Only then does the corresponding ten selector SD100, SD200 etc. start running again and come to a standstill at the next contact. on which he is fed in the manner described above for his test relay plus. becomes. It now enables the complete mapping or the complete structure of this ordinal number and the sending of the second command only when the hundred voter 8D1ooo is free, etc.
This process can be repeated any number of times.
Incident.
If, due to some malfunction of the transmission equipment, on the line or in the receiver of the substation, correct reception cannot be achieved, no acknowledgment pulse is sent back. The working status is then maintained in the transmitter of the central station, since the unlatching

mentioned, when the clamping magnet SEk1 is triggered, it automatically returns to its rest position, then remains in the latched position and keeps its contacts S81, S813 still closed. But once the command has been sent out, the wave rest contact closes, S'M'r;, and that
Starting relay SAn responds again because the Ss12 contact is still closed.
The command is then sent out again in the manner described. At the same time, the fault relay Sx, which starts up with a delay of about 20 seconds, will start to run up, and it responds after sending commands once or twice in vain. The fault trap SFk3 drops via contact Sx, the fault lamp Sol lights up via contact Sfkr; and the horn SH "sounds.
If an acknowledgment is received after a third command, the lamp and horn are switched off via contact Ss12, but the display on the drop flap SFkF remains.
Normally the fault relay Sx is switched off after every command with the acknowledgment impulse by the

Fuses.
The purpose of contact 'e is to prevent a stored but not yet completely sent command from being deleted by any interference pulse. before it was sent out over the FL pipeline. The contact Sv6 is only closed when the pulse generator SD @ was in action.
SV6 speaks, since SV5 was addressed as a result of the activation of the pulse generator selector S'D, via Sv. ' on, SVg via the normally open shaft contact Swa;. The drop-out delay of the two relays 8Vs and SV6 is dimensioned such that SVs drops shortly before the acknowledgment pulse arrives and the receiving relay EE is connected to plus via SVs2, while SV6 may only drop out after the acknowledgment has been executed.
In order to prevent the own pulse receiving relay EE from responding, for example in the central station, during a transmission process. it is via the normally closed contact i2 of the pulse relay and via the
EMI6.3
run of the pulse generator SD, via its shaft working contact swap and, because of its drop-out delay, only drops a certain time after the contact S'M'a has opened; so that the EE relay can only receive pulses when the transmission of pulses by the transmitter of the central station has really ended.
This makes it possible once to switch the receiving relay EE during the

To protect the entire transmission process against interference pulses, and on the other hand, this prevents the command from being deleted by external interference pulses or by incoming pulses from the substation.
In the opposite case, that the recipient is currently working. if a transmission process is to be carried out, the blocking between the receiver and the transmitter is made in such a way that the con-

Receiving process.
The series of pulses sent out by the transmitter SI of the central station to actuate switching processes is fed to the receiver of the outstation either via the long-distance line FL or by means of a carrier wave. In the exemplary embodiment, the long-distance line consists of a double line, one conductor of which receives the negative pulses and forwards them, while the second conductor connects the positive poles of the two batteries. In some cases the earth alone can be sufficient instead of the latter conductor. The negative pulses sent out hit the sensitive receiving relay EE in the receiver EII of the substation (Fig. 2), and this responds in the cycle of the pulse train and actuates in

fed to the rotary magnet ED'i of the rotary magnet ED1, and this takes a step with each pulse.
If the above-mentioned pause occurs in the pulse series, the relay EV1 drops out, since the length of the pause is just dimensioned so that EV1 can drop out. on the other hand EV2 no longer. After the relay EV4 has already responded, but EV1 has dropped out due to the pause. the holding relay EH1 is made to respond from plus via Ev43, Evil3, the winding Eh11 to minus. The relay EH! responds and holds itself by closing a circuit for its retaining winding EHjI
EMI7.3
As a result of the first two groups of impulses, the two rotary selectors ED1 and ED2 have reached two corresponding contacts.
The number of contacts already exceeded by the arms of the rotary selector together result in the constant sum of the first decade, i.e. that of the code number of the first decimal place plus the addition of this code number to the number of pulses constant for all transmissions. When the pause is inserted again after this second series of pulses, a circuit is closed from plus via Ev43, EV13 via the path Al, the switching arm and the corresponding contact of the rotary selector EDi, winding I of the test relay Eel, contact of the path A2 and switching arm

The control commands sent to the central station have already been dealt with and shown by a corresponding voter position.
Now the holding relay EH2 and the test relay jEPi respond, whose four working contacts Epl to Epl4 prepare the circuits for the lifting and rotating magnets of the two lifting rotary selectors END ", and EHD1n, which for example form the first group of hundreds. The two magnets ED1 'and ED2' the rotary selectors ED1 and ED2 are switched off, while a circuit for the lifting magnet EH'la is now established via Eze2, Eh22, Eh31, Ep11. This lifting magnet EH'1a now picks up the next series of incoming pulses. The test relay EP1 is held in the following time via the contacts Eu 44, the contact Epl5

When the relay EB1 responds, they close a contact that leads either directly or indirectly to the switching coils of an oil switch or another element of the electrical distribution system. The actuating relay EB1 only remains switched on until. as described above. the other delay relays have dropped out. Simultaneously with the response of the actuating relay EB1, the relay J has also responded through its second winding J11 and. As already described above, an acknowledgment pulse is sent back to the central station, whereby the transmitter there, from which the control command originated, is stopped for this command.
The remote control process, which begins with the actuation of a tax holder by the surveillance officer, is ended when the selected actuating coils for the switching element and the acknowledgment signal respond.

Switch position caused by switching change and assigned to the new switching state is ended. and the transmission of the impulses now takes place in the same way as already described for the transmission process for the main station.
The pulse generator SD; is automatically brought to work after an order number has been completely built up and sends out series of pulses according to the built-up position of the dial, each decade first corresponding to a series of pulses that is equal to the code number of this decimal place, and then another series of pulses that supplement this number to form a constant number.
These pulse series, which are subdivided by pauses, reach the long-distance line via the contact il as minus impulses and are picked up by the feedback receiving device EI in the central station (Fig. 1) by the polarized receiving relay EE. Line FL the relay EB in the central station and the normally closed contacts i2, Sv52 after the common positive pole, a current path is closed. This causes the lamp EL: to flicker, while the lamp ELi, which was previously burning quietly, goes out if the switch Es3 was closed.

When the signal arrives, it is maintained until it is extinguished by the supervisory officer by pressing switch Es. The correctly executed switching process can be indicated by other means besides the arrangement described, for example other light-dark switching of the lamps with and without connection to flickering devices or acoustic signals can be provided for this purpose.
Likewise, in place of or in connection with the display arrangements described, drop flaps can also be arranged by lamps, which likewise store the display once it has been made until it is canceled again by the control officer.
In order to make the control officer aware of this at the beginning of a reporting process, the attention lamp ELa and the indicator flap relay EFka respond via the contact EZE (Fig. 4). The indicator flap EFka is provided with a Kontat Efka, which closes the circuit for a horn EHu. These warning signs serve on the one hand to draw the attendant's attention to the arrival of a message, and on the other hand, in the event of the switching officer being absent, to use the drop flap relay to signal that a message has arrived in the absence of the switching officer.
At the same time it can be seen from the device Fig. 5 for the switch officer which switching changes in the outstation

Due to the brief response of the pulse relay by its second winding JI1 in the central station, a minus pulse is sent to the long-distance line via this and the contact il, which shuts down the transmitter of the outstation, as previously described for the central station, and prevents the message from being repeated. The series connection of the winding JII and the display relay EA also ensures that the acknowledgment pulse to shut down the transmitter of the remote station is only sent if the display device has actually been actuated after the message has been correctly received.

Self-breaker and magnets SD'10'SD'20 of the single selector etc. so that they rotate until EVk1 drops out.
The drop-out delay is just chosen so that the selector goes completely through once, on the other hand, through the contacts Sk12 and Sk14 etc. via the armature break contact 'Mr of the selector, direct negative voltage is applied to the brushes of the lanes E of the single selector SD10, SD30 etc., whereby the Brushing over the selector contacts, address all SQa coils of the toggle relays and move them if they were in the other position.
The connections of the individual commands are laid out in this way. that all SQa coils that use the. A "commands correspond to the selector SDio. N are connected, while all SQb coils. Which correspond to the OFF" commands are connected to the selector SI) "" Sd40. By switching a toggle relay, the transmitter is prompted to report back in exactly the same way as by changing the position; for example, this would be the case with the contact apparatus Skt1

In this way, all switch positions or the associated contact devices that are on #Ein "are first checked and the corresponding positions are displayed by the signaling means of the central system. By means of a second control command, the relays EBk2. Which in a similar manner to the SQb- Coils are operated, also check all signal points of the outdoor station.

change reported. Here, too, the arrangement is otherwise made. that. if switching changes and control signals coincide in time or occur in quick succession, they are each completed one after the other, since. As already mentioned, only one ordinal number can be completely built up and sent out.
The same also applies in the event that the remote-controlled officer switches a switch to a part of the line with a short circuit. whereby the surveillance officer receives the #Off "signal immediately after the #on" signal via the briefly following failure of the switch.
In the exemplary embodiment, the same number of pulses is sent out for each transmission process. This is divided by pauses in two rows for each decade, whereby the pulse rows per decade are composed of the number of pulses. which corresponds to the code number of the decimal place of an ordinal number, and a series of pulses that contains as many pulses as are necessary to add a constant number. These pulse trains are transmitted one after the other.
According to the invention, however, it is also possible to transmit these pulse series on as many channels as there are decimal places, so that the pulse series can be transmitted for each decade at the same time or almost simultaneously.
EMI11.4
applications or the control commands is only slightly above the limits of hundreds, thousands, etc. given by the system of ten. In all of these cases it is necessary. if these numbers are exceeded, a further group of memory selectors or switching devices must be provided, for example the number 1005 in the decimal system is only possible with units. Hundreds. Broadcast thousands and tens of thousands voters.
It is then expedient to convert this number into a system of eleven or twelve and use twelve-part voters, so that one can get by with three groups of correspondingly known voters.
The control of the switching states of the outstation can take place in any groups, for which switching or operational reasons can be decisive. The acknowledgment signal, which ends the correct transmission and reception of an ordinal number. was a longer pulse in the exemplary embodiment. In its place, of course, impulse combinations can also be used, which can also be ensured by special measures. The arrangement according to the invention is preferably also intended for long-distance transmission by means of one or more carrier waves of any frequency either along lines or by means of wireless telegraphy.
