Process for the production of artificial stone cast iron.
The subject matter of the invention is a method for the production of artificial stone lettering, in which any further post-treatment is omitted, so that the production is possible with the least amount of work and costs. The known methods have the disadvantage that lengthy machining of the cast plate is necessary. The previously used molds are made of firm, hard material and are fixed immovably on the cast plate. Every artificial stone mass expands or contracts depending on its composition when it solidifies. This creates pressures and congestion between the attached hard shape characters.
When removing the mold, the edges of the cast plate jump off, so that the edges of the writing have to be made sharp-edged either by re-cementing with artificial stone compound or by regrinding the entire screed surface. The cited disadvantages are partially eliminated by using rubber bushes whose contact surface is provided with recesses so that they adhere to the base. The use of letters made in this way, however, only allows large letters to be attached, since smaller letters, e.g. B. from 5 down, the cavity to create a sufficient vacuum attachment is too small.
The purpose of the following invention is to be able to cast even the smallest pencil marks while avoiding the edges of the letters jumping off.
According to the invention, shaped symbols made of rubber or another elastic material are therefore used which have a triangular or polygonal cross section and the base area of which is flat. The drawing shows three such form drawing in sections. The shape characters created in this way are attached to a smooth base with a temporarily adhesive adhesive, surrounded with a suitable frame and the artificial stone mass is poured onto this. After the molding compound has solidified, the previously described letters can be easily removed without damaging the edges of the writing, so that any further subsequent treatment, such as grinding or smoothing with sandblasting, is saved.
