getragen sind. An den Stellen 3, 4 und 5 ist die Platte durchbohrt, um diese Punkte mit dem Zeichenstift auf der Zeichenfläche markieren zu können.
Ferner sind den Kurven X nach Fig. 1 für die Teilungsverhältnisse #, ·, # usw. entsprechend verlaufende, mit dem Teilungsverhältnis bezeichnete Schlitze auf der Platte vorgesehen. Die Schlitze sind vorteilhaft so angeordnet, dass für die ungeraden Teilungsverhältnisse #, #, # usw. der Abstand von den Sehnenendpunkten : bzw. das entsprechende Teilungsverhältnis ist, während die geraden Teilungsverhältnisse 1/"1/"usw. von dem betreffenden Schlitz bis zur Linie 6 gelten. Hiedurch wird eine möglichst gute Verteilung der Schlitze erzielt, die sich sonst gegen die Endpunkte. 3, 4 drängen würden.
Ist z. B. der durch die Schenkel'7 und 8 eingeschlossene Winkel in fünf Teile zu teilen, so wird die Platte 1 so auf den Winkel gelegt, dass die Gerade 6 durch den Scheitel geht und die Punkte : ; und 4 auf den Schenkeln liegen. Nun wird mit dem Zeichenstift mindestens einer der Punkte 3 und 4 markiert. Ferner wird durch den Schlitz 1/5 die Kurve durchgezeichnet. Nun wird die Platte 1 weggehoben und durch die markierten Punkte 3 bzw. 4 mit dem Winkelscheitel als Mittelpunkt der Kreisbogen 9 gezogen.
Der Schnittpunkt 10 mit der durchgezeichneten Kurve teilt den Bogen 9 und damit auch den Winkel 7-8 nach dem Verhältnis 1-5, der Abstand 10-3 als Sehne am Bogen 9 aufgetragen, teilt diesen und daher auch den Winkel in fünf gleiche Teile.
Bei geradzahligen Teilungen wird noch die Winkelhalbierende 6 gezeichnet und es gilt das Teilungsverhältnis vom Schnitt der betreffenden Kurve, z. B. Vis, mit dem Bogen 9 bis zur Winkelhalbierenden.
Statt in Form von Schlitzen können die Kurven auch in Form von feinen Löchern angeordnet sein. Es können auch breitere Ausschnitte vorgesehen sein, wobei eine Kante die Kurvenform einer Teilung und allenfalls die andere Kante schon jene der nächsten Teilung aufweist.
