This pre-preparation is used for a z. B. tricresyl phosphate and other plasticizers containing cellulose triacetate film base is used.
Depending on the physical and chemical properties of the film base and the nature and thickness of the hydrophilic colloid layer to be applied later (e.g. photographic emulsion), the content of film base or its wool in the intermediate layer must be measured. For example, it varies between a tenth to three times the amount of gelatin used.
After the above preparation has dried well, it creates a firm bond between the applied emulsion layer and the film base.
In some cases very useful results are obtained if the same type of wool is used for the prepreparation solution, but whose physical properties differ from the wool of the film base concerned. As an example, it should be mentioned that for a film base consisting of high viscosity cellulose triacetate, a low-viscosity triacetate wool or one in addition to that of the film base is used in the pre-preparation.
The invention extends not only to the use of gelatin in these prepreparation solutions, but also to all colloids with the same effect, such as agar-agar, isinglass. Egg white etc.
EMI2.3
In addition to gelatine, photographic emulsions, agar-agar, egg white, gum arabic and similar substances, including mixtures containing these, can also be used.
However, it is not necessary that e.g. B. for coating with agar-agar, the prepreparation also contains this substance, but this agar-agar solution can also be prepared for example with gelatin. Base to be poured.
In the film industry, “wool” in the context of the present invention refers to cotton which is esterified or otherwise chemically modified in its external form
EMI2.4
The wool used or the film underlay itself is chemically similar. but deviates from it in its physical properties, such as B. the high- and low-viscosity triacetate celluloses mentioned above in the fifth to last paragraph of the description, which are of the same type.
