Arrangement of a swiveling luggage rack and pillion seat on motorcycles.
The present invention consists in the arrangement of a pivotable luggage rack and pillion saddle on motorcycles, which enables the pillion saddle to be positioned as low as possible and the best possible use of space for the luggage rack.
The luggage carrier is releasably connected to the front part of the frame by means of a connecting device. The connecting device supports the low-mounted pillion seat that leaves the luggage rack free. To now the hereby relocated rear rack if necessary, z. B. in the case of rear wheel assemblies, to be able to pivot back to the front saddle forwards, the connecting device is arranged pivotably. The pillion saddle is swiveled at the same time when the connection device is swiveled and thus releases the space it occupies behind the front saddle when the connection is closed for the purpose of pivoting the luggage carrier forward.
In the drawing, an example embodiment is shown schematically, u. Between the closed connection device in FIG. 1 and the open connection device in FIG. 2.
The connecting rail, the shaft N of which is slidably arranged in the sleeve M, is releasably attached to the rear wheel struts C by the sleeve or sleeves D. Part M carries the tube L, which is rotatably attached to the pillion seat F in K, in the clamping sleeve S. The tube L can be adjusted higher or lower in the sleeve S and this can be rotated in the sleeve M. The holes R allow the sleeve S to be displaced in the longitudinal direction as well as a different extension of the shaft 10, the holes T of which correspond to the holes R, which are connected by common bolts.
The sleeve M at the same time holds the luggage carrier G with the case P immovably in a rearwardly inclined position, as long as it is connected to the strut C (FIG. 1).
After loosening the connection N, D and pushing the shaft N into the sleeve M until the front saddle B is no longer in the way, the sleeve M and the saddle F can move upwards around the pivot point I.

until the fender B is also folded up around point 0 and the rear wheel A can thereby be exposed (Fig. 2).
The connecting device could also be rotatable about D and releasably attached to I and instead of being pushed together, it could be collapsible and, in one case as well as the other, the turning of the connecting device including the pillion seat could also be provided to the side.
The connecting device M, N can also consist of one piece, it can also be present twice, also bent to the sides, bent downwards or upwards. The detachability of the connection can also be provided at more than one point and the sleeve D can also be attached to other parts of the frame, to the front saddle or to other components of the motorcycle. Likewise, the sleeve D can be soldered, screwed or adjustably fastened to the luggage carrier or its carriers and in all these cases also be present twice. It can also be attached to one or two struts, tubes or rails that run parallel to the upper tubes of the luggage rack V and are attached to the luggage rack, the latter being extendable in a manner similar to M, N, in order to adapt to the length of the luggage rack.
These can also be bent upwards at the rear end of the luggage carrier, whereby they support the case P or the piece of luggage taking its place.
