Gear change transmissions, in particular for motorized rail vehicles.
The invention relates to a gear change transmission, in particular for motor-driven rail vehicles. In which, in addition to the clutches to be switched arbitrarily, for the individual speed levels, freewheeling devices are built in, in order to enable the gearbox that was previously in use to be switched off when changing from one speed level to another.
Gear change gears with freewheel devices have become known in which there are arbitrarily engaged and disengageable friction clutches, but which have the disadvantage that they have to have a relatively large friction surface according to the forces to be transmitted and therefore require large overall dimensions. Friction clutches are also not used with pleasure because of the occurrence of soiling and more general, often too rapid wear of the friction surfaces. The main disadvantage is that the entire transmission takes up too much space and an unnecessary increase in weight due to the large selection of friction clutches in the vehicle.
The gear change transmissions of this type that have become known also have a rather complicated construction in that a friction clutch is provided for each gear and a special clutch is provided in addition to the overrunning clutch. As a result, when switching on one gear, first the friction clutch and then a special clutch must be actuated, and another friction clutch and then another clutch must be switched for another gear.
Compared to these known designs, the gear change gear according to the present invention is distinguished by its extraordinary simplicity in construction and also in operation. In this case, only the switching parts and the connecting rods for the clutches to be operated at will are necessary.
According to the invention, claw clutches that can be engaged and disengaged with beveled teeth on the facing end faces are provided for arbitrarily engaging the transmission gears, so that these claw clutches can act as overrunning clutches as long as the clutch halves to be engaged have not yet matched their speeds.
At the same time, care can be taken according to the invention. that the operation of the various operating levers by virtue of a special arrangement and / or training makes sense for the particular working method to be striven for, e.g. B. rectified to the respective direction of travel.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing.
1 shows a gear change transmission in a vertical section, FIG. 2 shows a section according to II-II of FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows individual parts of the transmission in a horizontal longitudinal section, and FIG. 4 shows a schematic side view of the change transmission and in addition an embodiment of the linkage, which are used to actuate the switching elements of the transmission.
With the motor shaft, a shaft is connected, which advantageously consists of two nested parts, u. between part 1 on the one hand and part 2 on the other. The two-part design is selected here in order to create a certain low flexibility between the motor shaft and the transmission.
EMI1.1
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Also in the grooves 4 of the opposite corresponding play, such that the shaft part 1 can assume angular positions in relatively small limits according to the changes in position that occur between it and the gear housing 5, which equates to a certain flexibility.
The shaft part 2 is mounted in the gear housing 5 and expediently carries the brake drum fastened by wedges 6 outside the housing. 7, above which the brake band 8 is arranged, which connects with its one end to a stationary bolt, while its other end has a projection 9 on which the brake lever 10 can be placed (Fig. 4).
The braking device is conceivable in various applications and arrangements. It can also be used, for example, in cases in which there is a normal motor coupling or flywheel coupling or, for example, a rotating fluid coupling between the motor and the transmission. Furthermore, it is possible to mount the braking device at another suitable location or to design an existing brake in a special way in order to temporarily actuate it according to the invention.
In the transmission, the gear wheel 12 is keyed on part 2 of the motor connection shaft, which is in constant engagement with the wheel 13 which is firmly seated on the countershaft 14. The countershaft 14 still carries the wheel 15 with which the wheel 16 is in engagement. This wheel 16 is under mediation
EMI2.1
Freewheel device sits firmly on the shaft by means of wedges. The shaft 19 is usually separate from the shaft part 2, but can be coupled to this. The coupling consists, on the one hand, of claw teeth 12 ′ of the wheel 12 and, on the other hand, of claw teeth 20 ′ of the sleeve 20, which is arranged on the shaft 19 so as to be rotatable but displaceable. The shaft 19 and the sleeve 20 are provided with keyways for this purpose in a known manner.
The transmission shaft 19 also carries the wheels 25 and 26 through the intermediary of a freewheel device 21, 22 and 23,24. The inner part 22 of the freewheel device belonging to the wheel 25 sits loosely rotatable on the shaft 19, while the inner part 24 of the Wheel 26 belonging to the freewheel device on the shaft 19 is stuck. The wheel 25 or its inner part 22 of the freewheel device can be coupled to the shaft 19, u. betw. with the help of n claw teeth 22 'of part 22 and claw teeth 27' of a coupling sleeve 27, which is arranged on the shaft 19 so as to be rotatable but displaceable by means of keyways. The two wheels 25 and 26 are in engagement with the mating edges 29 and 30 which are fixedly seated on a further transmission shaft 28.
The transmission shaft 28 tightly carries the conical wheel 28 'with which the conical wheels 31 and 32 are in engagement (FIG. 3). The conical wheels 31 and 32 sit loosely rotatably on the jackshaft 33, and a correspondingly installed alternating coupling allows the connection of one wheel or the other conical wheel (31, 32) with the jackshaft 33. The interchangeable coupling is designed so that the wheels 31 and 32 each have a claw coupling half 31 ', 32'od. Like. Carry, between which a corresponding double claw coupling sleeve 34 with the claw coupling halves 35,36 can be switched. The double long-life coupling sleeve sits non-rotatably but displaceably on the jackshaft 33 and is switched, for example, by a lever 37.
With the gearbox described, four gears are possible.
First gear is usually, i.e. H. widely used. It can be achieved by
EMI2.2
and the wheels 26 and 30 on the shaft 28 and on the jackshaft 33, respectively.
The second gear leads from shaft 2 via wheels 12, 13, countershaft 14, wheels 15 and 16, shaft 19 and wheels 25 and 29 to shaft 28 and 33, respectively.
When changing from first gear to second gear, the freewheel device 21, 22 overtakes the
Wheel 25, the freewheel device 23, 24 belonging to the wheel 26, so that the wheels 26, 30 are no longer involved in the power transmission, but instead run along idle.
To achieve the third gear, the coupling sleeve 20 is shifted to the left so that the
Coupling halves 12 'and 20' come into engagement. This results in a direct coupling of the shafts 2 and 19 and the shaft 19 is driven via the wheels 26 and 30 onto the shaft 28 and 33, respectively. As soon as the third gear is engaged, the shaft 19 overtakes the wheel 16, so that this wheel only runs idle.
In fourth gear, with the clutch 12 ', 20' engaged, there is also direct drive from
2 to 19, however, due to the shifting of the coupling sleeve 27 to the left (merging of the coupling halves 22 'and 27'), the overdrive via the wheels 25 and 29 to the shaft 28 and 33, respectively, takes place. The wheel 25 or, respectively, now coupled to the shaft 19 Its freewheel device 21, 22 overtakes wheel 26.
The coupling halves 12 ', 20' and 22 ', 27' are provided with so-called deflection claws, i.e. H. the flanks of the claw teeth facing one another in the direction of displacement are beveled in such a way that the coupling halves deflect from one another when they move towards one another until they have approximately equalized in their number of revolutions. The slidable claw coupling halves are under the action of springs, whereby the final engagement is effected automatically at the appropriate time. The springs are advantageously accommodated in the linkage used to actuate the coupling sleeves.
The lever 40 is used for switching the coupling sleeve 20

EMI3.1
Lever 42 is followed by a linkage 4. 3, in which the spring 44 is switched on (FIG. 4). The linkage 45 leads to the axis 61? mounted shift lever 45. The coupling sleeve 27 is actuated by a lever 46 seated on the axle 47. Another lever 48 fastened on the axle 47 is brought into connection with the switching lever 51 through the linkage 49 with the spring 50 switched on.
The connection of the various linkages to the operating lever can be seen from FIG. This figure also shows that the brake lever-M. which oscillates on the axis 52, is connected to the lever 55 of the brake shaft 56 with the aid of a lever 53 and a rod 54. The foot lever 57 is attached to the brake shaft 56, but it is only necessary to operate it when starting from a standstill or when changing the direction of travel. In order to actuate the brake provided on the shaft part S in accordance with the respective gearshifts of the gearbox at the correct times, a lever 58 is provided on the brake shaft 56, which rests with the roller 59 against two cam pieces 60, which individually with the gear shift levers 45, 51 are in connection.
A further actuating lever 63 is provided between the two adjacent gear shift levers 45 and 51, to the opposite arm 63 'of which the linkage 64 is connected. which leads to the lever 37 of the interchangeable coupling on the jackshaft 33. In the linkage 64 is a

In Fig. 4, the gear shift levers 45, 51 and the associated linkage in the positions which correspond to the first gear engaged in the transmission (Fig. 1) are shown with full lines. The shift lever 63 for the reversing gear is in the same position as the gear shift lever. This position of the reversing lever 63 corresponds to reversing. The clutches 12 'are in the transmission.
20 'and the couplings 22' and 27 'are disengaged. The position corresponding to first gear for both

designated. The other positions of the levers are shown in phantom. Both gear shift levers 45, 51 assume position IV when fourth gear in the transmission is engaged. If the gearshift levers are both moved beyond position IV in the direction of the arrow, then position B is finally reached. On the way from position IV to position B, the brake 8 on the shaft part 2 is actuated.
The mentioned braking of the shaft part 2 on the way during the movement of the gearshift lever from position IV to position B begins as soon as the clutches 12 ', 20' and 22 ', 27' are in the so-called reject position. After the shaft part 2 has sufficiently reduced its number of revolutions, the final engagement of the mentioned clutches will take place through the action of the spring 44 or 50, with which the fourth gear in the transmission is reached. As soon as fourth gear is in operation, the gear shift levers can be moved back from position B to position IV.
There is no braking during this movement of either a single lever or both levers together.
Depending on whether only one of the gearshift levers 5, 51 is actuated in one direction or the other, the second and third gear can be switched on as required.
