Sprocket change transmissions for bicycles.
The invention relates to a gear change gearbox intended for bicycles that)! Type in which the transmission is housed in a housing to be attached to the bicycle frame.
In the similar devices that have become known, the sprocket change gear is mounted on supports to be attached to the frame, but without a housing, which experience has shown to be cumbersome in construction, or is the housing of the transmission, which is usually a gear drive , fixedly attached to the frame. Another drawback with these two types of design is that the gearbox can only be attached to bicycles. which have previously only been refurbished.
In contrast, the object of the invention has the advantage that the transmission with its housing can be easily attached to any bicycle by anyone and without changing it 11n different points of the frame fork, u. or without the use of special tools. Accordingly, the novelty is that the housing is arranged displaceably on one leg of the lower fork of the bicycle frame comprising the rear wheel.
In the drawing, the object of the invention is illustrated, for example, u. FIG. 1 shows a side view of the transmission in its position on a bicycle; FIG. 2 shows a plan view and FIG. 3 shows the coupling bolt on an enlarged scale.
The housing e is slidably and detachably fastened on one leg of the lower frame fork / ', which includes the rear wheel, close to the unchanged freewheel hub. The gearbox is mounted in the housing as a sprocket change gear, which is connected by the sprocket (t and the main chain b

and the chains s, t is formed. The wheels h and i, which are seated on the shaft d carrying the wheel c and are provided with coupling parts n, can u by a sliding bolt with coupling wedge. as is known, can be coupled alternately with the shaft ci. A short chain u establishes the connection between the wheel r of the freewheel hub g and the wheel q of the driven shaft m. The bike therefore remains completely unchanged.
Another advantage can be seen in the fact that by means of the spur gear transmission, in contrast to the hard coupling of the spur gear transmission. a smooth and noiseless ride is achieved and that the sprockets on the crank bearing and on the freewheel hub remain.
