Dadurch ergibt sich ein besonders hoher Tragekomfort des mit einem erfindungsgemäßen Protektor versehenen Schlittschuhs oder Inlineskates. Bei dieser Ausführungsform sind in der Regel auch in den die Ösen des Schlittschuhs bzw. Inlineskates bedeckenden Bereichen der Schutzschale (des Protektors) Aussparungen zur Durchführung eines Schuhbandes vorgesehen. In diesem Fall wird das Schuhband also sowohl durch die Ösen des Schlittschuhs als auch durch sämtliche Aussparungen im Mittelfußprotektor geführt.
