Outflow electrode for electrostatic precipitators made up of hanging chains and wire.
The subject of the invention is an outflow electrode for electrostatic precipitators composed of hanging chains and wire. The invention consists in that the wire in the way between two
Chains is stretched out so that one chain forms the suspension element and the other chain forms the load element for the wire. This arrangement gives the wire an unobstructed path along its entire length
Possibility of oscillation without, as before, signs of fatigue occurring at the wire ends, which include the risk of wire breaks and thus operational malfunctions.
Compared to the known devices in which the spray wire ends in a ball which is mounted in a pan in order to achieve all-round mobility of the wire end in this way, the arrangement according to the invention has the advantage that special precautions, such as the storage require a ball joint, are not necessary when the wire is suspended by means of a chain.
The chain links, which according to the invention serve to suspend and load the tensioned wire, can be designed so different from one another in size, cross section and material that the otherwise usual shielding elements (sheaths or the like) at the wire ends are wholly or partly superfluous.
The drawing shows several examples of how the invention can be carried out.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, 1 is the air outlet wire which is suspended in a carrier 4 by means of an eyelet 3, with a chain 2 interposed. The lower end of the wire 1 is loaded with a chain 5, which in this case represents the otherwise usual loading weight. As can be seen without further ado, there is no obstacle to the vibrations of the wire over its entire length, since the chains 2 and 5 are movable and the otherwise existing rigid retention at the points of suspension and loading of the wire is absent.
The chains 2 and 5 can be provided with shielding tube pieces pushed over in such a way that the connection points between the wire and the chain links remain free and movable and the mobility of the chains themselves is not impaired. The pipe section partially enclosing the chain 5 can optionally be designed as a loading weight at the lower end if the weight of the chain 5 and the shielding tube alone should not be sufficient to keep the wire taut.
FIG. 2 shows the combination of the chains 2 and 5 with such shielding sleeves 6, 7, the pipe section 7 bearing a loading weight 8, while the sleeve 6 is designed as a suspension element in place of the suspension eyelet 3 shown in FIG. 1 and for this purpose is provided with a hook 9 which is hooked into the carrier 4.
As can be seen from FIG. 3, a chain 10 can be used to suspend the wire 1, the links of which increase in size and cross-section from the upper end of the wire. In this way an effective shielding of the outflow electrode is achieved without hindering the oscillation possibilities of the wire itself.
The same gradation of the chain links can also be carried out at the lower loaded wire end, as shown in FIG.

The chain-like intermediate links can be designed as desired and can be connected to one another and to the wire in the most varied of ways, but it must always be ensured that the wire's entire length does not suffer from the possibility of oscillation.
In order to avoid sparks between the individual chain links, the links or their spaces can be bridged by conductive, flexible conductors as possible. This connecting line, the z. B. can be intertwined with the chain, since it is effectively shielded by the surrounding chain links, it will not give rise to spraying, even if a thin wire is chosen for the connection.
