Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Darstellung von Küpenfarbstoffen der Perylenreihe.
Das Verfahren besteht im wesentlichen darin, dass man Dihalogenperylenchinone mit Aminoanthrachinonen kondensiert, wobei überraschenderweise Reaktionsprodukte mit Farbnuancen erhalten werden, welche von denen der Ausgangsstoffe vollständig abweichen.
Ausführungsbeispiel : 5 Gewichtsteile Dichlorperylenchinon werden mit 6'5 Gewichtsteilen u.-Aminoalithrachinon bei Gegenwart von 2 Gewichtsteilen wasserfreiem Natriumazetat und 1 Gewichtsteil pulverigem Elektrolytkupfer in 150 Gewichtsteilen Nitrobenzol bei Siedetemperatur zur Reaktion gebracht. Nach kurzer Zeit lösen sich die Produkte mit dunkelbraunroter Farbe, und in dem Masse, als die Kondensation fortschreitet, geht die Farbe der Reak- tionsflüssigkeit in Braunviolett über. Nach ungefähr sechs Stunden ist der Prozess beendet, man sammelt nach dem Erkalten auf dem Filter. wäscht nacheinander mit Nitrobenzol, Alkohol und Wasser und befreit das Reaktionsprodukt vom beigemengten Kupfer durch Behandeln mit verdünnter Salpetersäure.
Der Farbstoff stellt in trockenem Zustande ein dunkelviolettbraunes, mikrokristallines Pulver vor, das sich in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit braunvioletter Farbe löst ; durch Zusatz von Wasser wird der Farbstoff aus der Lösung gefällt. In Nitrobenzol löst er sich mit dumpfblauer Farbe, die alkalische Hydrosulfitküpe ist rotbraun, Baumwolle zieht ebenso auf ; beim Verhängen geht die Färbung in Blaugrau über. Die Färbungen besitzen sehr gute Echtheitseigenschaften.
An Stelle von Dichlorperylenehinon kann auch Dibromperylenchinon und anstatt < x-Amino- anthrachinon ss-Aminoanthrachinon verwendet werden. Im ersteren Falle ist das Reaktionprodukt mit dem im Beispiel 1 beschriebenen identisch, im letzteren Falle erhält man ein Produkt ähnlicher Beschaffenheit. Diese Verfahrensabänderungen können auch miteinander kombiniert werden.

The invention relates to a method for the preparation of vat dyes of the perylene series.
The process consists essentially in condensing dihaloperylene quinones with aminoanthraquinones, surprisingly giving reaction products with shades of color which differ completely from those of the starting materials.
Exemplary embodiment: 5 parts by weight of dichloroperylenequinone are reacted with 6'5 parts by weight of u-aminoalithraquinone in the presence of 2 parts by weight of anhydrous sodium acetate and 1 part by weight of powdered electrolytic copper in 150 parts by weight of nitrobenzene at the boiling point. After a short time, the products dissolve with a dark brown-red color, and as the condensation progresses, the color of the reaction liquid changes to brown-violet. The process is over after about six hours, and after cooling, you collect on the filter. washes successively with nitrobenzene, alcohol and water and frees the reaction product from the added copper by treating it with dilute nitric acid.
When dry, the dye presents a dark purple-brown, microcrystalline powder which dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a brown-purple color; the dye is precipitated from the solution by adding water. In nitrobenzene it dissolves with a dull blue color, the alkaline hydrosulphite vat is red-brown, cotton also absorbs; when hanging, the color changes to blue-gray. The dyeings have very good fastness properties.
Instead of dichloroperylenehinone it is also possible to use dibromoperylenequinone and instead of <x -aminoanthraquinone ss-aminoanthraquinone. In the former case the reaction product is identical to that described in Example 1, in the latter case a product of a similar nature is obtained. These procedural changes can also be combined with one another.
