PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE :
1. Verfahren zur Gewinnung konzentrierter Ameisensäure aus einem Gemisch von Calciumformiat mit konzentrierter Ameisensäure durch Umsetzung mit einer äquivalenten Menge Schwefelsäure und Abdestillieren der Ameisensäure bei gewöhnlichem oder vermindertem Druck, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man der Aufschlämmung des Calciumformiates vor der Umsetzung mit Schwefelsäure wasserfreies oder wasserhaltiges Natriumsulfat in einer Menge von 1 bis 10 0/ des angewendeten Caleiumformiates zusetzt.

1. A process for obtaining concentrated formic acid from a mixture of calcium formate with concentrated formic acid by reaction with an equivalent amount of sulfuric acid and distilling off the formic acid at ordinary or reduced pressure, characterized in that the slurry of calcium formate before the reaction with sulfuric acid anhydrous or hydrous sodium sulfate added in an amount of 1 to 10 0 / of the caleium formate used.
