Fig. l ist ein Grundriss der Gesamteinriehtung. Fig. 5 und 6 stellen zwei Leithebel herausgezeichnet dar.

<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Date holding device for calendar clocks, date stamps or the like.
The invention relates to a date device which can be used in a calendar clock or a date stamp application and is characterized by a simple and functionally reliable construction from similar devices. The present date unit has, in a known manner, rotatable, mutually independent day.
Monthly and yearly switching wheels and a drive element, which is arranged for these wheels in such a way that it is able to advance the daily switching wheel by one step once a day, at the end of the month to switch the monthly switching wheel to a new month and at the end of the year also to switch the annual switching wheel to a new year, whereby the monthly switching wheel is provided with twelve incisions corresponding to the months of a year and of varying depths depending on the number of days in the month, and the device is characterized according to the invention in that a
for switching the monthly switching wheel serving switching pin is controlled by a deflection lever upstream of the monthly switching wheel and a channel that adjusts depending on the depth of the incisions in the monthly switching wheel so that it is controlled when the day switching wheel

can arrive.
The drawing illustrates an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. Fig. 1 is a floor plan of the overall device. FIG. 2 is a section along the line A-A of FIG. 1, with the omission of panes which carry the day, month and year designations so that the other parts can be better seen. Fig. 3 is a section along the same line as Fig. 2, but with certain parts in a different position. Fig. 4 is a section along line B-B of Fig. 1 with the parts in a different position. Fig. 5 and 6 show two guide levers drawn out.
The movement itself, which drives the date setting on a calendar watch, has been omitted from the drawing. The date device itself has a frame made of two plates 1, 1a connected to one another by means of spacer bolts, and between them a drive element 2 which can be rotated about a fixed axis 2a. B. receives in such a way that one on the hour wheel of the

The driving element 2 is under the action of a spring 6, which returns the same to the rest position after each pivoting of the element 2. The day switching wheel 5 is firmly connected to a sleeve 7, which is rotatably mounted on an axis 8 fastened in the two plates 1, 1a and a day disk 9 (Fig. 1) with the day number designations 1, 2, 3, ... 31 carries. To prevent unintentional adjustment of the daily switching wheel J, a lever 10 with a locking pin 11 engaging the teeth of the wheel is provided

organ located pin 12 is held locked by the latter engaging in an incision 13 of the locking lever 10 (Fig. 4).
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The driving member 2 also has a shift finger 14 pivoted on it (best seen in FIGS. 1 and 4) which, as will be described in more detail below, is intended, on the one hand, by the interaction of its end face 14 'with a Side pin 20 provided on the day switching wheel 5 at the end of the month with less than 31 days with the same deflection of the drive element 2, in which the pawl 4 would otherwise advance the day switching wheel 5 by a single tooth, the latter by as many teeth more as the difference the number of days of the corresponding month is up to 31 days, and on the other hand by means of an attached to it
EMI2.1
switching wheel 17 upstream.
The monthly switching wheel 16 has twelve cuts corresponding to the number of months in a year; the annual holding wheel 17 here also has, for example, twelve cuts corresponding to twelve years, for which period the calendar clock has to run at the longest, for example.
. When the clockwork is running and the driving element 2 connects the day switching wheel 5 upstream, the pin 15 of the switching finger 14 slides on a deflecting deflector that can be rotated through the curved upper edge.
EMI2.2
provided month holding wheel 16 to come into engagement, except when the changeover of the same to a new month is to take place, in which case the side pin 20 of the day switching wheel J lifts the lever 19 at its edge 19 so that the pin 15 of the switching finger 14 is then in a Incision of the month switching wheel 16 can intervene in order to connect the same to an incision. As can be seen from the drawing, the slide 18 is outside the circumference of the monthly switching wheel. ? located.
The monthly switching wheel 16 is firmly connected to a sleeve 21 which is loosely mounted on the sleeve 7 connected to the day switching wheel 5, so that the two sleeves can rotate independently of one another.
The sleeve 21 carries a month disc 22 (FIG. 1) with the numerals 1, 2, corresponding to the months. .. 12.
The depth of the twelve cuts of the monthly holding wheel 16 varies depending on the number of days in the month, u. so that the incisions for the months of 30 days are deeper than the incisions for the months of 31 days, while the incisions for the month of February are in turn deeper than those for the months of 30 days.
For better identification, the deepest indentation, i.e. the one for the month of February, is marked 23 (Fig. 3), the four next deep indentations, which are all equally deep below each other and the months with 30 days, i.e. the months of April, June, September and November are marked with 24, while the least deep cuts, seven in number, corresponding to the 31-day months of January, March, May, July, August, October and December, with:? 5 are designated (Fig. 4). The order of the different deep cuts corresponds to the order of the months in the year.
A vertically swingable guide lever 26 (Fig. 5) is provided with a locking pin 27 which interacts with the incisions of the month switching wheel 16 such that the guide lever 26 assumes a lower or higher position, depending on the depth of the incision in which the Lock pin 2 '/ lies.
The guide lever 26 is provided with an interconnect 28 for the pin 15, which is located partially outside the circumference of the month switching wheel 16, the purpose of which is explained later.
The year switching wheel y, which is arranged coaxially with the month switching wheel 16 and the day switching wheel, is firmly seated on a sleeve 29 which is loosely mounted on the sleeve 21 connected to the month switching wheel so that it can rotate independently of the sleeve 21. The sleeve 29 carries an annual disk 30 (Fig. 1) with the names of the successive years. On the annual holding wheel 17, of the twelve incisions provided here, every fourth incision is less deep than the others; these few deep cuts are marked 31 and correspond to the leap years, the remaining 32 equally deep ones to the normal years.
A guide lever 33 which can swing in the vertical direction and which is provided with a locking pin 34 and is designed similarly to the guide lever 26 corresponding to the month switch wheel 16 cooperates with the incisions 31, 32 of the yearly switching wheel 17 . The locking pin 34 on the guide lever 33 cooperates with the incisions in the annual switching wheel 17; that the guide lever can assume two different heights, namely the one, higher when the locking pin 34 rests in one of the notches 31, and the other, lower when the pin rests in one of the notches 32.
The guide lever 33 is also provided with a guide track 35 (FIGS. 2 and 3) located partly outside the circumference of the year switching wheel, on which the pin 15 can slide when the locking pin 34 of the guide lever 33 is in one of the less deep leap years Incisions B1 of the annual switching wheel 17 engages. As can be seen from Fig. 1, the pin 15 is sufficient

into the notches 36 and 37 of the guide levers 26 and 33, in order to enable the latter to be in the position in which the pin 27 and 34 seated on them in the monthly or. Year switching gear engages to lock.
When the clockwork is running, the pin attached to the hour wheel hits the projection 3 of the drive element 2 once a day, so that it is pivoted out of the rest position shown in FIG. 3 and the switch pin 4 into the day switch. d J engages to do the same around a tooth
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
or step forward.
After each such pivoting, the drive member 2 is returned to its rest position by the spring 6. Every time the drive element 2 is pivoted in the manner indicated above in order to advance the day switching wheel 5 by one step, the pin 15 first slides on the interconnecting path 28 of the lever 26 and then on the interconnecting path 18 of the control lever 19, without using the monthly switching wheel 16 to be able to come into contact, and so on continuously, it returns until the pin 20 of the day holding wheel 5 hits the lever 19 on the end face 19 'towards the end of the month and the same gradually moves into the position shown in FIG.
2 upwards, so that the pin 15 now slides between the conductor track 28 and the lever 19 with the last stop stroke in the current month and can intervene in the monthly switching wheel 16 in order to advance it by one step.
The height of the interconnect M determines the point in time at which the pin M can get under the upward deflection lever 19 in order to intervene in the monthly switching wheel. When the locking pin 27 of the guide lever 26 rests in the deep, corresponding to the month of February recess 23 of the monthly holding wheel 16, the guide track 28 of the lever 26 is so deep that the pin 20 of the day switching wheel 5 needs to lift the control lever 79 relatively little to the To allow pin 15 to pass between the conductor track 28 and the deflection lever 79, so that the pin 15 can then reach the month switching wheel 16 at an earlier point in time (when the day switching wheel has rotated 28 steps).
If, however, the locking pin 27 of the lever 26 rests in one of the notches 24 of the month switching wheel, the interconnect 28 is so high that the day switching wheel 5 has to advance two notches or teeth. so that the lever 19 is brought up by the pin 20 so far that the pin 15 can pass between the conductor track 28 and the lever 19. When the locking pin 27 of the lever 26 rests in one of the shallow indentations 25 of the monthly switching wheel 16, the interconnect 28 is so high that the day switching wheel 5 has to be turned by one more incision or tooth so that the pin 15 is between the interconnect 28 and the lever 19 can go through.
This temporal shift in the moment at which the switching pin 15 comes under the deflecting lever 79, which otherwise prevents its attack on the switching wheel 16, has the consequence that the abutting edge 14 'of the holding finger 14 sooner or later comes into contact with the pin 20 of the day switching wheel 5 . Rests z. B. the locking pin 27 of the lever 26 in the corresponding to the month of February deep notch 23 of the monthly switching wheel 16, so towards the end of the month, the switching finger 14 comes to attack the pin 20 relatively early and then switches the daily holding wheel 5, which is now only on 28.
Month days are in front of the rash of the driving organ 2 by four cuts in one go, d. H. since the incision 23 corresponds to the month of February with an assumed 28 days, from February 28 to March 1, while at the same time the switching pin 15 of the switching finger 14 advances the monthly holding wheel 16 by one incision. The situation is similar if the locking pin 27 rests in the incisions 24 of the monthly holding wheel 16 corresponding to the months with 30 days, in that the shift finger 14 now finally advances the daily holding wheel 5, which is up to the end of the month through the holding pawl 4 tooth by tooth, by two teeth, the month changeover takes place.
If such a subsequent switching of the day switching wheel 5, which nevertheless has 31 teeth or switching steps, did not take place during the month changes, then the day switching wheel 5 would be out of step with the month switching wheel 16 with respect to the beginning of its incremental rotation beginning with 1.
As soon as the month holding wheel 16 has been connected upstream by an incision by the switching pin 15, the lever 19 falls back into its deflecting position, in which it prevents the pin 15, which goes with the drive element 2 when switching the day changing wheel 5, from coming into contact with the month holding wheel , u. between until the changeover to the next month should take place.
As can be seen from the drawing, the year switching wheel 17 is so much smaller than the month switching wheel 16 that the pin 15, although it extends to the year switching wheel, cannot intervene in the same; the latter can only happen if the pin 15 is in the deepest notch 2-3 of the month switching wheel 16. In Fig. 2 you can see the pin 15 in engagement with the aforesaid notch 23, and the corresponding numerals on the disks 9, 22 and 30 read "31-12-29", i.e. H. on the last anniversary in 1929. The changeover of the annual switching wheel now has to be done. If the pin 15 now engages in the incision 23 of the monthly switching wheel 16, it also comes into engagement with the annual switching wheel, so that this is then connected upstream by an incision together with the monthly switching wheel.
In leap years, the locking pin 34 of the lever 33 rests in one of the less deep notches 31 of the year switching wheel 17, whereby the lever 33 and the conductor track 35 located thereon occupy such a high position that when the pin 27 of the lever 26 is in the deepest, the The incision 23 of the month holding wheel 16 corresponding to the month of February rests, and the lever 26 with the interconnect 28 consequently assumes its lowest position, the interconnect 35 of the lever 33 with respect to the interconnect 28 of the lever 26

The pin 15 is then guided on the interconnect 35 instead of the interconnect 28 and the day holding wheel 5 then has to be rotated one notch or tooth more in its day switching than is the case in a month of February with 28 days so that the lever 19 can be led so high

rades 5 in contact than in a month of February with 28 days, and the day switching wheel 5 is now only three incisions or teeth in front of it instead of four, as described above, while the month switching wheel 16 is of course also switched again by the pin 15 is preceded by an incision. The conversion of the monthly holding wheel to the l. March will be from 28./2. postponed to December 29th.
When the pin 34 of the lever 33 rests in one of the nine deep notches 32 of the annual holding wheel 1'7 ... the conductor track 35 of this lever is so deep that it has no influence on the monthly changeover.
In the present embodiment, the day, month and year holding wheels are connected with drum-shaped disks, which are provided with day, month and year names on the peripheral rim. If these designations are designed as print types and combined with a pressure surface, a date stamp is created. The day, month and year slices could also be flat and on their own. Side surfaces at the edge be provided with the names mentioned.

tracks 28 and 18 slides, it could be connected to a part specially provided for this purpose.
Of course, the interconnects 28 and 35 do not need to be worked on the levers 26 and 33 themselves, but they could be provided on separate rails that could be adjustably attached to the levers 26 and 33, for example.
