Insert made of expanding strips to preserve the creases of trousers.

The invention relates to an insert made of expanding strips for maintaining the creases in trousers, which is characterized in that the two-part, elastically flexible, two-part expanding strips are designed as separate pieces. Due to the complete separation of the two-sided expansion strips, they can be attached more easily and conveniently in the correct position in the trouser leg.

The drawing illustrates an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention; 1 and 2 show the separated parts of the one expansion strip of the insert; Fig. 3 shows the expansion strip assembled; Fig. 4 illustrates the arrangement of the two expansion strips in a pair of pants to maintain the creases.

To spread out the trouser legs, two separate expanding strips (Fig. 4) of the shape shown in Figs. 1-3, which are attached to the inside of the sides of the trouser material, are used. Each expansion strip consists independently of the other of two elastically flexible flat parts a, b, z. B. made of steel, celluloid, etc., which are adjustable in the longitudinal direction to each other and of which one is guided on the other by an overlapping bracket c. Both flat parts are provided with holes d for sewing on the fabric of the pant leg.

In their mutual position, the strip parts a, b are secured by a button fastener, one of which is equipped with a series of round openings e and the other with a spring button f. In this way, the effective length of the expansion strips can be adjusted with ease in such a way that they flex outwards in a resilient manner in a known manner and stretch the trousers from the inside out in order to maintain the creases of the same correctly.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
