A jewel in the shape of a beetle.

Because of the lively colors of the wing covers, insects, especially exotic beetles, have often served as models for jewelry that is attached to a dress or hat. The aim was to reproduce a lifelike copy of the beetle out of metal or synthetic material, but it was only possible to a very limited extent to deceptively produce the shimmering shine and the play of colors on the wing covers.
 EMI1.1
found not to arise. Especially then. when the wing covers are still decorated with inserted stones.

The natural wings have already been used for jewelry in the shape of butterflies. The connecting means of the wings with the body are designed so that the wings can be recognized as natural.

The drawing shows a piece of jewelry according to the invention in view.

The legs 2 made of metal wire are attached to a sheet metal mold 1, which is essentially modeled on the belly of the beetle. The front end of the sheet metal form is as a
Setting for stones 3 designed, to which stylized feelers are attached. The sheet metal shape also carries the fastening means of the piece of jewelry, e.g. B. a needle, 4.5 are the wing-coverts of the natural beetle, which are first applied to an artificial mass and then into the
Sheet form uses. The wing covers are also decorated with stones 6, the setting of which the
Artificial mass penetrates and is anchored to the sheet metal form.

    PATENT CLAIMS:
1. piece of jewelry in the shape of a beetle, characterized in that the natural
Wing covers are connected to a stylized sheet metal shape modeled on the beetle belly through synthetic material.
