Description

Method to prevent evaporation of the mixing water from cement concrete.

The present invention relates to the setting of cement materials, in which during the setting period the evaporation of the coarse water from the concrete is prevented by a water-impermeable skin which is applied to the surface of the material, and has as its object an improved method of this type .

Accordingly, the method of the present invention is that, after the cement material is completed, i. i.e. after it has been smoothed or, if necessary, turned away and before it has set, d. H. so, before the burden of a greater weight, such as B. the one up; Lm moving man withstands without damage, with a bitumen emulsion of watery exterior
Phase is treated. whereby a water impermeable skin is formed on the surface of the concrete material.

For the practical implementation of the process of the application, a bitumen emulsion with an aqueous outer phase is applied to the surface of wet, freshly laid concrete, e.g. B. applied by means of an atomizer. Such an emulsion has the property, soon after it has been exposed to the air, to disintegrate as a result of the evaporation of the water, so that an impermeable, adherent
Skin emerges.

The bituminous emulsion can be applied as soon as the surface is finished or the surface water can first be allowed to dry off.
