EMI1.1
Cellulose digesters are already known in which a sieve is arranged centrally in the cooking vessel, through which the treatment liquid circulates. This bottom layer is not exposed, but adjoins the lower wall of the stove in the form of a hollow cylinder. The contents of the digester must slide over the sieve surface when emptying, which inhibits emptying.
In the embodiment according to the invention, the bottom surface of the digester surrounding the outlet opening is completely smooth and does not constitute an obstacle to emptying. The sieve can be moved freely. This ensures that a uniform flow of liquid is generated in the upward or downward direction over the entire cross-section of the cooker, and also avoids splinters which have been sucked against the sieve surface from preventing the cooker from being blown out or emptied. If the screen surface of the centrally arranged screen is designed in the form of a cone narrowing downwards or a truncated cone surface, splinters, which may have got stuck on the screen surface, are torn loose from it during blowing.
Two embodiments of the invention are schematically illustrated in the drawing. In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, a sieve 2 is freely and centrally attached in the lower part of the digester 1, which is in the form of a truncated cone with the narrow end

Rods 4 is supported. The pipe 3 leads through the boiler wall after the pump 5, the pressure line of which is led back into the top of the boiler. If necessary, a heating device of any kind can be switched on in the line.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the pipes 3 and 6 are completely housed inside the cooker and are connected to a pump 5, which is optionally laid inside the cooker. In this embodiment too, the sieve 2 is designed as a conical surface pointing downwards with the tip.
