Im wesentlichen besteht die Erfindung darin. dass die Angel nicht wie bei den bekannten Messern ein flaches, die Verlängerung des Messerblattes bildendes Stück ist, sondern als Vierkant ausgebildet und das Messerblatt aus dem Vierkant derart ausgearbeitet ist. dass Rücken und Schneide von gegenüber liegenden Kanten des Vierkantes gebildet werden.
In der Zeichnung ist der Erfindungsgegenstand beispielsweise dargestellt. Die Fig. 1 und 2 zeigen das halbgeöffnete Messer in zwei Ansichten. Fig. 3 zeigt eine ähnliche Ansicht wie Fig. 2 knapp vor der vollständigen Öffnung, Fig. 4 einen Querschnitt durch das Messer mit dem Vierkant in Ausicht. Fig. 5 has geschlossene Messer.
An der quadratischen Querschnitt besitzenden Angel 7 des Messers sind kreuzweise Bügel.', an einander kreuzenden Achsen o. 6 angelenkt, die wechselseitig ineinander gelegt werden können.

Die vierkantige Angel gestattet eine vorteil- haftere Anbringung der Drehbolzen für die Bügel, weil sie insbesondere das Bohren der sich kreuzenden Löcher erleichtert, und verleiht dem Messer besseren Halt. Die Erzeugung des Messers wird durch das symmertische Ausarbeiten der Angel vereinfacht und verbilligt.
