   Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Auftragen eines marmorierten oder   ähnlich   gemusterten, beispielsweise   achat-oder malachitähnlichen Überzuges   auf fertige Platten aus beliebigem Material auf kaltem Wege, bei welchem Verfahren auf die vorteilhaft gerauhte Platte eine breiige oder schlammförmige Zementmasse in Teilen verschiedener Beschaffenheit oder Farbe und in der Musterung ungefähr entsprechender Austeilung aufgetragen wird und durch eine Stossbewegung aus der Ebene heraus die verschieden beschaffenen oder gefärbten Teile der Masse ausgebreitet und aneinander geschlossen werden. 



   Gemäss dem   Verfahren wird im Anschluss   an den letztgenannten Vorgang der Überzug unter Zwischenlage eines   flussigkeitsaufsaugenden   Materials ohne Anwendung von Wärme, durch blosses Pressen oder   Walzen mit der Unterlage verbunden. Nach dem Erstarren kann die so hergestellte Platte auf mechanischem   Wege weiterbehandelt werden.
