Solenoid coil for bathroom purposes and process for their manufacture.
There are already known coils for radio purposes, the single consisting of two parts with
Have grooves for receiving the coil wires provided and arranged in a circle, which from
Wood or other insulating material. According to the invention, the carriers now consist of full glass rods which are melted onto the finished coil. The invention has the purpose of limiting losses of the coil by high quality insulation with glass and by the type of fastening to the smallest possible extent. The coil itself can be in different dimensions
Diameter, number of turns, distance between turns and wire size can be carried out, and it can be used for this purpose bare, silver-plated or enameled copper wire.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in FIGS. Between FIG. 1 shows a winding reel in a top view, FIG. 2 shows a device for melting down the glass rods, and FIG. 3 shows a cross section to FIG. 1.
As can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 3, the coil is wound on a device which consists of a cylinder cut into four parts. Each of these parts 1 has a groove in each of which
Rod 2 is inserted. The four parts 1 are held together by two flanges 3 and a screw 4. On the whole, a thread 5 is cut depending on the winding spacing. The wire is wound into the thread and then four more rods 6 are screwed onto the rods 2 located in the grooves. After removing the screw 4 of the two flanges 3 and the cylinder parts 1, the coil is prepared for receiving the glass rods, the turns being held together by the rods 2 and 6. In Fig. 2 the device for melting the glass is shown.
A round glass rod is inserted into the semicircular groove of the anvil-like part 10 which is movable in the middle. The coil is then placed on a carrier 12 which is movable in a carriage 13. The gas burner 14 is then ignited above the glass rod and the movable part 11. When the heat has given the glass rod the necessary softness, the burner 14, which is displaceable at 15, is moved away, and the part 11 is then quickly turned over by the handle 7. When turning, the coil is pulled over the glass rod by a disk 8 to which a wire 9 is attached. This process must take place fairly quickly, since otherwise the glass would lose its softness and would then only be poorly pressed into the turns through the part 11.
After some
Time the part 11 is turned back, the spool is pulled away, turned a quarter turn and the process is repeated. When all four glass rods have melted, the coil is removed, and after unscrewing the four inner rods 2 from the outer 6, the coil is ready. It can be cemented into a base for easy use. To create a tap, a turn is pinched open at the appropriate point and a piece of wire is soldered in as a connection.
