Verdampfer.

Evaporator.
Evaporator heaters are known in which an upper and a lower chamber are connected by evaporator tubes.
A disadvantage of these known radiators is that the evaporation tubes are designed as vertical tube spirals. These spiral tubes have flanges at the ends with which they are connected to the chambers.
The design of the evaporator tubes as spiral tubes has the disadvantage that the interior of the outer evaporator body is poorly used, in that relatively large spaces remain between the spiral tubes and the side walls of the evaporator body, in which there are no evaporator tubes. In these known evaporators, the vapor bubble separation takes place accordingly only in a relatively narrow strip of the water surface.
This disadvantage is remedied by the invention. With it an evaporator is created in which evaporator tubes fill the main cross-section of the evaporator body particularly well.
The evaporator tubes are placed so deep that in the evaporator body. a sufficiently large vapor space remains, which is very important for the quality of the distillate obtained.
The subject of the invention is illustrated in the drawing, for example, and it shows: FIG. 1 a longitudinal section through an evaporator according to the invention, FIG. 2 a cross section through the subject of FIG. 1.
A chamber b and a further chamber c are arranged in an evaporator body a. Chamber b is the steam supply chamber and is provided with a steam supply pipe d, while chamber c represents the condensate collection chamber from which the condensate is discharged through a line e. The two chambers b and c are connected to one another by columns t. Struts g and h extend from the connection points of these columns, between which rollers i are arranged on the lower part and which, viewed as a whole, form a frame. The rollers run on rails k.
The design and arrangement of the evaporator tubes 1 and 1 'is particularly important.
These are serpentine and fill the main cross-section of the evaporator body in vertical planes one behind the other and offset from one another in height, but with a sufficiently large vapor space 1n still remaining. The evaporator tubes are connected from both sides both to the steam supply chamber and to the condensate collection chamber and are connected to them by simple couplings n. Such pipe couplings are known. They have the advantage over flange connections that they only require a single nut for each pipe end, while with flange connections two or more nuts have to be loosened, and the centering and sealing are not as good.
