Apparatus for massaging body parts with balls.
The present invention relates to an apparatus for massaging body parts by means of
Balls to which a progressive and a rotating movement can be transmitted inevitably from a drive shaft according to patent no. 107690. The novelty consists in the fact that the transmission is through a planetary gear train from one in the handle of the device
Motor takes place, the sockets of the freely movably mounted balls are arranged eccentrically to the axes of the planet gears moving them, so that each rotating individual movement
Sphere describes a small circle.
The purpose of the apparatus according to the present invention is to completely replace the hand massage and thus to be able to perform both the so-called deep kneading and stroking massages. While the progressive movement of the balls can replace the stroking massage, the individual rotating movement of the balls can be used as a substitute for the deep and kneading massage.
The accompanying drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, in which FIG. 1 is a front view of the apparatus, FIG. 2 is a cross section through the drive mechanism of the balls, FIG. 3 is a schematic illustration of the planetary gear.
According to the drawing, the apparatus has a handle 1 in which an electric motor is accommodated, to which the current is fed through a cable 2. The shaft of the electric motor serves as a
Drive shaft and carries a smaller bevel gear 3 at its end. This meshes with a larger one
Wheel 4, which is stuck on a hollow shaft 6 which is mounted in the frame 5 firmly connected to the handle.
This hollow shaft 6 is also mounted in the hub 7 of a ring 8 fitted into the frame, so that the bevel gear 4 is arranged between two bearing points. Outside the frame 5, the sun gear 9 of a planetary gear is also attached to the hollow shaft 6, while a shaft M is rotatably held in the hollow shaft by a nut 11 with washer 12 and by a plate 13 firmly connected to the shaft 10 The axles 14 of five planetary gears 15 meshing with the wheel 9 are mounted in this plate, while on one side of the plate.
M the planetary gear is arranged, the shafts 14 on the other side of the plate carry disks 16 on which, eccentrically offset, the sockets 17 for balls 18 are fixed. The balls are held freely movable in their sockets and protrude from a protective plate 19, which with the
Plate 13 is screwed. A sheet metal jacket M screwed to a sheet metal cap 20 surrounds the entire mechanism, and a lubrication hole 22 allows the bearings of the shafts 6, 10 and 14 to be lubricated, while air holes 23 allow the electric motor to ventilate.
When the apparatus described above is put into operation, the sun gear 9 rotates and takes the plate M with the planet gears 15 with it and the balls M are consequently in a circular shape
Bahn a progressive movement, that is, to carry out a so-called stroking massage. Now, however, an adjusting pin 24 is slidably mounted in the sheet metal jacket 21 and is arranged so that, when it is pushed in, it protrudes into one of the indentations in the plate 13 between two planetary gear bearings and thereby prevents the plate from rotating. If this is the case, since the plate 13 with the planet gears is prevented from rotating, the sun gear 9 will continue to rotate and the individual planet gears will rotate in their bearings.
Instead of the progressive movement of the balls, each ball is thus in place only in one way due to its eccentric position in relation to it
