Heat exchange pre-lightening.
The subject of the invention is a device according to patent no. 113190 with finned tubes parallel to the axis of rotation. To improve the heat exchange, a nozzle with adjustable openings is built into the housing, through which some of the heating gases that have already left the rotating exchange body can recently be sucked in and brought into contact with this body again.
The drawing illustrates. the subject of the invention. FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the device according to the line A-B in FIG. 2, which shows a cross section according to the line C-D in FIG. The Wärmeaustauschvorrichrung consists of two rotatably mounted annular bodies 1 which are connected to one another by the tubes 2. The liquid to be heated flows in through a hollow nozzle 3 and the likewise hollow arms 4; the arms 4 of the other ring 1 and the nozzle 5 serve to drain off the liquid. The gases enter between the arms 4 on the side in the direction of the arrows and are caught by the pipes and the ribs on them and thrown against the housing wall which is provided with a tangential outlet connection at one point on the circumference.
This outlet connector expediently extends over that part of the width of the housing which lies opposite the tubes 2. The cross-arms formed by the arms 4 are connected in the middle by a shaft piece 7.
On the wall of the housing 8 opposite the gas inlet side there is a cylindrical connector 9 which extends up to the ring body j! reaches and whose jacket is broken by slots 10 (Fig. 2). A rotary slide valve 11 is arranged inside this connecting piece 9, the slots 12 of which have the same shape and arrangement as the slots 10. The rotary slide valve 11 can be adjusted as desired with the aid of a hand lever 13 so that it is possible to regulate the passage cross-section.
The purpose of the adjustable openings in the connection piece is to allow some of the hot gases that were thrown against the housing wall when the heat exchange body was rotated to be sucked in again in the direction of the arrows drawn in, so that the gases are repeated with it the tubes 2 come into contact and thereby bring about an improvement in the heat exchange.
The liquid moves in the direction of the arrows in countercurrent through the cavities of the radiator. By increasing the gas velocity, a beneficial effect is achieved even when the temperature of the gases is relatively low.
