Dampferzeuger.

Steam generator.
The invention relates to a steam generator with a circular cylindrical furnace of a
Front side is axially heated with a burner and the walls of which are cooled by forced circulation or spiral evaporator tubes, as well as a return train surrounding the furnace, in which the steam superheater, the feedwater preheater and the air preheater are arranged, and consists in the fact that the The heating surfaces located in the returning gas flow form gas channels which always offer the same flow cross-section and channel walls equally distant from one another to the gases flowing in the direction of or to the cylinder axis and the gases flowing parallel to the axis.
When gases flow through circular cylindrical heat exchangers in the direction of the axis, the cylinder area, which decreases with the diameter, always requires an increase in the gas velocity or, if the velocity is not to be increased, an increasing axial length of the gas channels is necessary. The opposite occurs with flow from the axis to the outside. This is particularly troublesome in heat exchangers in which gases are subjected to relatively large temperature changes, because the associated changes in space can increase the purely geometrical difficulties.
In general, channels with a constant cross-section and constant wall distances are preferred, on the one hand because they are easier to manufacture, on the other hand because they are more easily accessible for inspection and the greater effectiveness of cleaning devices. This applies to both recuperative and regenerative heat exchangers.
According to the invention, the heat exchanger is therefore dimensioned in such a way that it offers the gases a constant cross-section and the same wall distances in both directions of flow. In the special case of the circular-cylindrical arrangement and the flow directions parallel and perpendicular to the axis, the solution is that the wall surfaces must be cylindrical surfaces with the involute circle belonging to the inner boundary circle as the base line.
This invention is illustrated in Figures 1-8. Fig. 1 shows a horizontal section through the axis of the lying cylinder boiler, Fig. 2 shows a vertical section with a half external view, Fig. 3 shows a cross section perpendicular to the axis through the air preheater, Fig. 4 through the steam superheater, Fig. 5 shows a perspective Detail from the air preheater, Fig. 6 shows the geometric construction of the circular involute and its properties used for the invention, Fig. 7 is a cross-section perpendicular to the axis through the feed water preheater, Fig. 8 is a wound pipe coil of the same.
The circular cylindrical furnace is surrounded by circularly curved pipes 1 (Fig. 1), which cover the wall 20 tightly, and pipes 2, which form the contact bundle and the gas passage in the returning train, which is surrounded by a circular cylindrical outer wall 4.
The boiler is operated in forced operation, u. Between the exhaust gas feed water preheater 10 (FIG. 7), the feed water is fed from a pump (not shown) through pipes 5, 6, 7 and 8.
The preheater consists of two symmetrically curved tube bundles 10, which take up part of the annular space of the returning train. Each tube bundle consists (FIGS. 7 and 8) of a distributor 11 and a collector 13, between which the tubes are arranged as multiple tube coils 12

are trained. The collectors 13 are connected by overflow tubes 14 to the distributor 16 of the evaporator tube bundle, which is connected to the collector 17 through the semicircular bent tubes 1 and 2. The steam-water mixture exits from the collector 17 into the separator 29 (FIG. 2), from which the water is fed back to the distributor 16 in forced circulation through pipe 30, pump 31 and branches 32.
Spirally wound tube coils 18 and 19, which are also connected between the collectors 16 and 17, cover the flat surfaces of the combustion chamber.
The steam is removed from the container 29 through pipe 33 and flows from the distributor 34 through the pipes 25 of the superheater (FIGS. 3 and 1) arranged in the annular space 4 of the returning train to the outlet header 35. The returning train is divided by the walls 20, 3 and 36 into two parallel parts in which the superheater 25 and the feed water preheater 12 are located one behind the other.
In continuation of this train is the air preheater 26 (Fig. 1, 3, 5, 6). It is arranged in a ring,
EMI2.1
The air preheater consists of blade-like curved sheet metal plates 37, which extend between two imaginary circular cylindrical boundary surfaces 38 and 39, corresponding to the radial width of the annular space 4. At the cylindrical ends, the passages are alternately open and
EMI2.2
Plates 41 are closed, so that the structure known from pocket air preheaters is created alternately by gas and air in the cross-flow of channels through which there is flow.
According to the invention, the distance to the wall and the cross-section in each gas path are constant in this air preheater because the sheet metal plates are bent according to an involute of a circle, which is unwound from the inner circle 38.
Fig. 6 shows the known construction of the involute from the base circle 38 a. The various names refer to this geometric process. Since according to the
EMI2.3
Cut off the following involutes of the same base circle on the normal to the curve, d. This means that the vertical distance between successive involutes is the same for all curve points. Using this knowledge, it is therefore possible to measure the flow in a straight line through
EMI2.4
of the steam superheater 25, where the gases enter it axially.
The air preheater (Fig. 1) is fed through a hollow jacket 42, which extends between the wall 3 and the outer jacket 43, with the inlet opening 44. The air absorbs most of the heat losses from the inner boiler wall and makes them usable and protects the boiler against heat loss when it is idle.
The air emerging from the air preheater flows into the air collection chamber 48, which surrounds the burner in a ring shape, and through between guide vanes 24 into the burner, which is made up in a known manner from a spreading plate 22 with a feed pipe 23 which penetrates the face plate 21. The exhaust gases from the boiler collect in an annular space 27 from which they flow out through a duct 28.
If the base circle 38 a in FIG. 6 is selected to be equal to the circle 38, the air will enter the collecting space 48 radially. If, on the other hand, a more tangential entry is desired, the base circle 38 a must be selected smaller than circle 38. Then, as can be seen in circle 38 a, the channel passes through the circular cylinder surface at an oblique angle. The arrangement of special guide vanes 24 can then be omitted.
