Bisher mussten bei den bekannten Sparkoch-, Brat-und Backvorrichtungen mit abnehmbarer Isolierhaube die Töpfe mit Rücksicht auf die seitlich anzubringenden, umklappbaren Handgriffe in ihrem Durchmesser stets um so viel geringer gehalten werden, als notwendig war, um für die umklappbaren Handgriffe genügend Platz im Innern der Isolierhaube zu schaffen. Dies hatte den Nachteil, dass damit rings um die Kochtöpfe usw. ein ringförmiger Luftraum entstand, der einerseits das Fassungsvermögen der Kochtöpfe verringerte und anderseits zur Temperaturverminderung innerhalb der Isolierhaube beitrug, dadurch, dass eben Wärme an die den Kochtopf umgebende Luft abgegeben wurde. Diesem Mangel hat man dann dadurch zu beheben versucht, dass man die Handgriffe in das Innere des Kochtopfes verlegte.
Dieser Ausweg fand aber bei den Konsumenten mit Recht keinen Beifall, weil man zum Erfassen der Kochtöpfe erst den Deckel abnehmen musste und die Handgriffe selbst dann nicht nur sehr heiss waren, sondern auch eine Berührung mit dem Inhalt der Kochtöpfe nicht zu vermeiden war.
Vorliegende Erfindung bezweckt nun die Beseitigung aller dieser Nachteile, u. zw. geschieht dies dadurch, dass im Mantel des Kochtopfes durch seine teilweise Verengung, sei es auf den ganzen Umfang, sei es nur auf einem Teil desselben, Platz für die umllappbaren Handgriffe geschaffen wird.
Auf der Zeichnung ist ein solcher Kochtopf in einem Ausführungsbeispiel dargestellt, u. zw. zeigt Fig. 1 einen Kochtopf, bei dem sich die Verengung in bezug auf seine Mantelfläche rings herum um den ganzen Kochtopf erstreckt, im Längsschnitt und Fig. 2 den Kochtopf in einer Isolierhaube untergebracht, wobei letztere im Schnitt dargestellt ist.
Wie ersichtlich, ist in einigem Abstand von dem oberen Rand des Kochtopfes a in der Mantelfläche durch Einzug eine Verengung b geschaffen, die so gross ist, dass sowohl für die Befestigungsöse c als auch für die Handgriffe d selbst genügend Platz geschaffen ist und sie nicht nach aussen vorstehen.
