Schraubenmuttersicherung.

Nut lock.
There are already known screw nut locks, which consist in the fact that the shape of the bolt thread profiled rollers embedded in a recess of the nut when attempting to loosen the nut jam in the wedge angle that exists between the bolt thread and the nut recess. The cumbersome and costly manufacture of the rollers, the need to guide them and other disadvantages have prevented the practical use of these nut locks.
Furthermore, it is also known to use balls as locking means, which are stored in a recess in the nut, which recess on the one hand a reduced and on the other hand an enlarged space

but has a blocking effect on the narrowed side.
This known device has the disadvantage that the balls as locking means are difficult to attach and fail when the bolt is unscrewed. However, it is also known to pass the bullets

the mother covered on all sides.
The recess in the nut is eccentric to the bolt axis and one or more balls can be included in the housing or cage, so that they are partially in contact with the bolt thread, and when trying to loosen the nut, in the wedge angle between Cage and thread get and get stuck there. Since balls with a suitable diameter are commercially available for every type and shape of the bolt thread, the special manufacture of the clamping element is unnecessary and, if necessary, the securing parts can be easily exchanged.
In addition, precautions have been taken to prevent inadmissible tripping and to prevent contamination of the internal parts of the fuse.
The subject matter of the invention is illustrated in an exemplary embodiment in the drawing: FIG. 1 is a top view, FIG. 2 is a horizontal section in the plane of the sphere, FIG. 3 shows the cage in a front view, FIG. 4 in a rear view and FIG Line 1-1 of Figure 3. Figure 6 is an embodiment of the cage for two balls. FIGS. 7 and 8 show details of protection against contamination.

The cage cl is provided with a window e (FIGS. 3, 4 and 5), which expands and receives a ball t. The height of the window is dimensioned in such a way that the ball can partially step forward and with this dome can lay against a thread as soon as the ball is at the narrowest point

provided, which is able to lead the ball out of the angular space between the recess and the bolt thread.
When the nut is tightened, the ball slides ineffectively between the rear wall of the recess and the thread. When trying to loosen the nut, the ball gets stuck in the angular space between the rear wall of the recess and the thread and prevents the solution movement. The spring g

Clamping bracket kept away so that there is no obstacle to the solution movement of the nut.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 6, two windows e and two balls i for one thread each are arranged in the cage. The balls are under the action of a common spring k.
The recess for the cage can also be made at the strongest point of the nut and the cage can have a rear wall made of hard steel for the ball, so that the ball does not press into the relatively soft nut material.
In order to prevent the ingress of dirt through the mouths of the channel i, which could thwart the loosening action of the pin j, the upper and lower walls of the cage are provided with incisions 1 so that the flap rn formed between them can be bent inwards to bring the release pin to the ball (Fig. 7). The upper and lower walls can, however, also have a weakening o which can be pierced by the release pin and possibly provided with a mark at the location of the channels i.
Where it is a matter of preventing unauthorized actuation of the release pin, this can be provided with a certain cross-section and tumbler-like obstacles can be built into the channel. It is also possible to avoid any mark on the top wall of the cage for the location of the channel. The opening of the canal mouth is then carried out by means of a drill whose base is designed like a wrench and which only fits the nut in a certain position in which the drill hits the canal mouth. This particular position can e.g. B. can be set by barely noticeable deviation of the mother and the tool base from the regular Vieleekform of the mother.
PATENT CLAIMS: l. Screw nominal security by a ball stored in the nut, which is protected against falling out by a shield and which presses against the bolt thread when the nut is loosened, characterized in that the ball (f) is inserted and through a housing (d) that is separate from the nut the opening (e) of which acts on the bolt thread, while the transverse and longitudinal walls of the housing cover the nut cutout.
