ERNST WISS iN GRIESHEIM A. MAIN.

ERNST KISS IN GRIESHEIM A. MAIN. Valve without unilateral flow pressure on the valve cone.
The present invention is a valve for water, steam and. Like. Which differs from the previous ones in that the valve seat and valve cone cannot wear on one side due to one-sided outflow pressure over time. For this purpose, the valve housing shown in Fig. 1, 2 and 3 in vertical longitudinal section and in two cross sections is set up as follows: The inlet a is the same as before. Above the valve seat, however, the outlet divides into opposite channels b and c, which have the same length and the same cross-section up to the common outlet d. This has the effect that the outflowing liquid, after leaving inlet a, divides into two opposing outlets of the same cross section and the same pressure.
Since the pressures of the water currents act in the opposite direction on the cone, they have each other.
In this way it is achieved that, particularly in the case of pumps, feed valves and all such devices in which pressure fluctuations occur, the valve cone is no longer pressed abruptly and on one side against the walls of the seat. As a result, the seat and cone no longer deflect and leaks in the valve are avoided for this reason.
