Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
Verfahren zum Härten von eiweisshaltigen Kmtsthornmassell.
EMI1.1

during further treatment, be it by pressing, kneading or rolling or even only during drying a! The hardening agents act at a point in time when the homogenization process has already ended and can therefore no longer be disturbed.
Oxymethylformamide and oxymethylazetamide are particularly suitable for this purpose, as these bodies also split off formaldehyde to an increased extent with increasing temperature, which property is of particular value. The oxymethylamides also have the great advantage that they have a plasticizing effect in the first stage and can therefore also be used in conjunction with more rapidly acting hardening agents, whose too rapid attack is prevented by their initial plasticizing effect.
