    Electron tube.

In the known electron tubes with plate anodes, the filament encloses an acute angle, at the ends of which the current conductors are connected, opposite the apex.

Extensive tests have shown that the characteristics of the electron tube are steeper and their effect is significantly improved as a result. when the ends of the filament, which encloses an acute angle, are connected to one another by a T-piece over the shortest possible route and the power line connections are laid in the apex of the filament and on this T-piece. As a result, the two legs of the filament are connected in parallel.

The drawing illustrates the electron tube according to the invention schematically in an exemplary embodiment.

The anode a, grid b and filament c of the electron tube have the usual design. Only the ends d of the filament enclosing an acute angle are conductively connected to one another over the shortest possible path by a T-piece and the conductors are connected at a point t between the ends d and at the apex g of the filament c. The two legs of the filament are therefore
 EMI1.1

It has been shown that the parallel connection of the two legs of the filament alone is not enough to achieve the desired better effect of the tube. It is necessary that the two parts of the filament meet at an acute angle, a power connection i is made at the apex g of the angle, the two ends d of the filament are connected to each other over the shortest possible path and the other power connection at a point t between the ends of the filament is laid. Are z. B. led away from both ends of the filament conductor, these connected to each other at a greater distance and connected to this connection point of the conductor, the beneficial effect can not be achieved.

The conductor h for conducting current between the ends cl of the filament is split at its end, the two parts formed are bent over and applied to the ends cl of the filament.

As a result, the connection of the ends of the filament and, at the same time, the connection of the current conductor is achieved in a simple manner. The conductor can also serve as a holder for the filament.
