Verfahren zur Herstellung von Metallsulfaten aus Metallsulfiden.
1m Stamm-Patente Nr. 8075 ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Metallsulfaten aus Metallsulfiden beschrieben worden, bei welchem die Metallsulfide oder sulfidischen Erze, wie Schwefelkupfer, Schwefelnickel, Schwefelzink in Gegenwart von Eisenbisulfid unter Luftabschluss mit Polysultiden der Alkalien oder Alkalimonosulfid oder Alkalisulfat und Kohle erhitzt, dann an der Luft zerfallen gelassen werden und darauf der Selbstoxydation, zweckmässig unter Erwärmung unterworfen werden, worauf die gebildeten Metallsulfate in bekannter Weise ausgezogen werden, während das Eisenoxyd im Rückstande ungelöst bleibt.
Desgleichen war in einer Ausführungsform des Verfahrens die Gewinnung eisenfreier Metallsulfate in der Weise beschrieben worden, dass die Erze mit Eisenbisulfid in derartigem Verhältnis gemischt wurden, dass das bei der Selbstoxydation gebildete Eisenoxydsulfat voll- ständig in Eisenoxyd übergeführt wurde.
Es hat sich nun im Laufe der praktischen Ausführung des Verfahrens herausgestellt,

In the parent patent No. 8075, a process for the production of metal sulfates from metal sulfides has been described, in which the metal sulfides or sulfidic ores such as copper sulphide, nickel sulphide, zinc sulphide are heated in the presence of iron bisulphide in the absence of air with polysulphides of the alkalis or alkali monosulphide or alkali sulphate and coal , then allowed to decompose in air and then subjected to self-oxidation, expediently with heating, whereupon the metal sulfates formed are extracted in a known manner, while the iron oxide remains undissolved in the residue.
