     PATENT-AN SPRÜCHE :

Electrically heated winding pen for making permanent hair waves.

The subject of the invention is a new, electrically heated winding pen for producing permanent hair waves. What is new is that the screw wire used as a heating element lies in a glass tube and is conductively attached at its ends to metal contacts that are connected to the glass tube by melting. In this way, a well-insulated, less demanding, moisture-proof and easily adjustable accommodation of the radiator is achieved.

If the glass tube is surrounded by a protective sleeve made of metal, which is known per se for winding pins, it can be held in its position on the glass tube by compressing the glass mass at the ends of the glass tube.

In the drawing, the object of the invention is shown, u. Between. Fig. 1 shows it in side view, and Fig. 2 in longitudinal section.

It is 1 a heating screw wire, which can be very thin because it is not wound over an insulating rod. This radiator 1 lies in a glass tube 2. In the latter, metal contacts 3 and 4 are inserted at both ends, to which the non-helically wound ends 5 and 6 of the radiator are conductively attached. The ends 7 and 8 of the glass tube close z. B. as a result of heating firmly to the contacts 3 and 4 and thus close the tube 2 watertight. It can be around the glass tube 2, a protective sleeve 11, for. B. made of metal such as brass. If this forms a tube, as in the exemplary embodiment, the melt thickenings 9 and 10 of the glass sleeve can be produced by subsequent heating, which hold the protective sleeve 11 in its position on the glass sleeve.

     PATENT APPROVALS:
1. Electrically heated winding pen for making permanent hair waves, characterized in that the screw wire (1) used as a heating element lies in a glass tube (2) and is conductively attached at its ends to metal contacts (3, 4) which are connected to the glass tube ( 2) are connected by melting.
