Sheet metal doors in which grooves and fillings of various profiles are pressed in for the purpose of stiffening are already known.

The invention lies in a new arrangement of stiffening grooves and consists in the fact that the grooves made by pressing do not pass through and cross one another. By pressing in these non-continuous grooves, the aim is not m, r stiffening in the sense of the known pressed-in fillings, but rather a resistance against the known rolling up of the sheet metal doors in the event of strong heating of the door. This is achieved in that the arrangement of the non-continuous, intersecting grooves causes a change in the fiber support of the sheet metal, which creates internal tension in the door. The well-known stiffeners of sheet metal, such.

   B. with corrugated iron, usually only have the purpose of creating a certain rigidity in one direction, but do not offer sufficient resistance to bending when the door is heated up.

In the known sheet metal doors with pressed-in fillings, there is also no connection between the fillings. The free strips between the panels therefore form a non-stiffened point in the door. When the crossed grooves are arranged, all reinforcements are secured by riveted continuous tapes, flat or angled iron reinforcements and the like. Like. Dispensable, so that riveted connections, which are easily detached in a fire anyway, are not required for doors according to the invention.

In the drawing: FIG. 1 shows a door with the pressed-in cross and longitudinal grooves a, b, b, a and FIG. 2 shows a door with only pressed-in crosses b, b.

As can be seen, the grooves a, b are not arranged continuously, but rather a smooth surface e remains at the edges of the sheet metal, the grooves b cross in the middle, as can be seen in the drawing.

The grooves are pressed in with a pressure of about 80,000'his 120,000 kg per door.
