Water crane with swiveling rotating attachment for railways and similar purposes.
The invention relates to water cranes with a swiveling rotating attachment for feeding the tender
Locomotives and for similar purposes, and compared to the known devices of this type is that the bracket attached to the feed column to support the rotating attachment and the bottom of the attachment rotatably mounted on this with corresponding curved or comb-shaped elevations and
Wells are provided so that the rotating attachment is only in stable equilibrium in a certain pivoting position. As a result, the swivel tube attached to the rotating attachment is forced to always return to the same stable equilibrium position, which can be arranged for the respective purposes, for example parallel to the tracks, so that accidents occur
Bumping, etc. can be avoided.
The subject matter of the invention is illustrated in the drawing, for example. Fig. 1 is a vertical section through the top of the device; Fig. 2 is a similar section through a modified embodiment; 3 and 4 illustrate two details in plan and section.
On the upper end of the column T, through which the feed water is supplied, a double-walled, cylindrical attachment D, D 'is rotatably arranged. The attachment or container D, D 'has an outlet opening F, to which the horizontal arm G of the water column is attached, which the water to
Locomotive leads there. The inner wall D 'surrounds the head of the column T with a small amount of space.
The upper end of this column is turned upside down at T 'over the upper edge of the inner wall D' of the attachment, so that it covers this wall and the water that flows out of the column cannot seep between the column and the container. The eversion can be carried out in various ways.
Avoiding the hitherto customary fittings, the container D, D 'rests by means of a ball bearing K on a bracket C attached to the column T rests against the column. The bottom of the container D has two correspondingly designed indentations M. The ball bearing K lying between these two curved or comb surfaces enables a smooth operation
Rotary movement of the attachment, which comes into a stable equilibrium when the bulges of the
Enter the console into the indentations in the bottom of the container. If, on the other hand, the container is rotated by 900, it reaches an unstable equilibrium.
In this way, the horizontal arm G becomes the
The dining column is forced to always return to the same stable equilibrium position, which can be arranged parallel to the tracks, so that accidents caused by bumps etc. are avoided.
The horizontal arm G, together with the container D, D ', can complete a full 3600 revolution. The turning can be done by direct pulling by means of a chain or by any other means, which at the same time enables the arm G to be fixed in any desired position.
If necessary, the cover E of the attachment D, as illustrated in FIG. 2, can also be designed like a hood. The hood B is then guided on an axle I which is dimensioned in such a way that when the container D, D 'ascends and descends, depending on the bulges of the console C, a sufficient amount
Guiding the hood E is present. The guide axis Z is by means of Fiiss, y on the upper end
