Verfahren zur Herstellung von Sulfitzellstoff aus Kiefernholz.
EMI1.1

Process for the production of sulphite pulp from pine wood.
EMI1.1
has also tried to make sulphite pulp from pine, but so far without satisfactory results.
The invention now relates to a process for the production of sulphite pulp from pine, with the help of which it is possible to produce a white pulp which is said to have the same good quality as the sulphite pulp made from fir wood. This result is achieved on the one hand through a special composition of the cooking liquor and on the other hand through appropriate control of the heat and pressure conditions during cooking.
According to the invention, a cooking liquor is used which, in addition to calcium bisulfite and a relatively high content of free sulfurous acid, also contains sodium sulfite. Furthermore, the cooking is carried out at a slightly higher pressure and a slightly lower temperature than in the usual production of sulphite pulp from fir wood, u. between at a pressure of 5 to 6 atm. and a final temperature of 120-150 C.
The preparation of the cooking liquid is done in the following way: First an aqueous solution of caustic soda is poured into the cooker filled with pine wood in such an amount that the caustic soda content is at most 1% of the amount of pulp in the wood. The cooker is then filled with a calcium

or sodium bisulfite. It has been shown in practice that the liquid is capable of completely releasing the resin and lignin substances of the pine if only the pressure is kept at the above-mentioned level and the cooking temperature is kept relatively low at the same time.
