    Drucksicheres Spulengehäuse fiir Unterwasserkabel.   



   Die Erfindung betrifft den Druckschutz einer Bleimuffe für Verbindungen oder   Spulengehäuse   für Unterwasserkabel, welche in grossen Tiefen verlegt werden. 



   Bei geringen Tiefen genügt ein Bleirohr mit entsprechender Wandstärke als Muffe, welches an beiden Enden mit dem Bleimantel des Kabels verlötet wird. Bei grösseren Tiefen kann eine solche Bleimuffe allein nicht zur Anwendung gelangen, da diese Muffe durch den starken Wasserdruck zusammengedrückt werden würde. Auch das Einlegen einer Drahtschraube unter dem Bleimantel vermag nicht, ihn   genügend abzustützen.   



   In der deutschen Patentschrift Nr. 354087 wird daher vorgeschlagen, zur Verstärkung der Bleimuffe   ein längliches   Gehäuse aus lötbarem, unbedingt wasserdichtem Metall, beispielsweise verzinnter Bronze, welches den Druck aufzunehmen imstande ist, unter der   Bleimuffe dicht umsch1iessend   anzubringen. Wiü in der Zeichnung Fig. 1 dargestellt ist, bestehen Bleimuffe   asowie Druckgehäuse b   aus zwei   glockenförmigen   Teilen, die zunächst auf die beiden Kabelenden geschoben werden. Nach der Verbindung der Leiter oder dem Einbau der Spulen werden die   Druckgehäuseteile   b zusammengeschoben und an den Stellen   e,   und   G2   mit dem Bleimantel des Kabels und in der Mitte bei   c   miteinander verlötet.

   Alsdann werden die beiden Bleimuffenhälften a über das Druckgehäuse geschoben und zuerst mit dem Bleimantel des Kabels bei el und   e 2   und schliesslich bei e   miteinander verlötet.   



   Nach der Erfindung wird dem Druckgehäuse b die Form einer Kugel gegeben, wie in Fig. 2 gezeigt, weil ein kugelförmiges Gehäuse bei gegebenem Rauminhalte und gegebener Wandstärke dem Wasserdruck den stärksten Widerstand entgegensetzt.

   The invention relates to the pressure protection of a lead sleeve for connections or coil housings for underwater cables, which are laid at great depths.



   In the case of shallow depths, a lead pipe with an appropriate wall thickness is sufficient as a sleeve, which is soldered to the lead sheath of the cable at both ends. Such a lead sleeve alone cannot be used at greater depths, since this sleeve would be compressed by the strong water pressure. Even the insertion of a wire screw under the lead sheath cannot give it sufficient support.



   In the German patent specification No. 354087 it is proposed to reinforce the lead sleeve, an elongated housing made of solderable, absolutely watertight metal, for example tin-plated bronze, which is able to absorb the pressure, to be tightly enclosed under the lead sleeve.
