In the case of concentric high-frequency cables, it is difficult to keep the inner conductor like this
produce that it is sufficiently flexible and tensile strength on the one hand and none on the other hand
represents too much resistance. The desired flexibility and tensile strength leaves
can be achieved in a known way by using a strand or a hollow rope,
however, this construction has the disadvantage that the resistance of such
Stranded wire or such a hollow rope, as measurements have shown, about three times as much
is as large as the resistance of an inner conductor consisting of a tube with a smooth surface
same cross-section, but this in turn does not compromise flexibility and tensile strength
one strand.
The invention relates to a concentric high-frequency cable with air space insulation
and with an inner conductor made of round wires twisted together
existing hollow rope, which avoids the disadvantages of both constructions
are that the surface of the inner conductor is wrapped in such a helical manner with a copper foil to reduce the resistance
is that a smooth and dense surface is created without the flexibility underneath
suffers. This arrangement has the advantage that the high-frequency cable is just as flexible and resistant to tension as with a stranded wire
as an inner conductor, but not the disadvantage of increased resistance compared to a tubular
Has inner conductor with a smooth surface. It is this advantage that the conductor according to the invention is known before others
Characteristics of conductor shapes for high-frequency cables in which the conductor is either only
from a thin, profiled band or with the help of a multi-mesh copper wire mesh
is formed.
It has already been proposed to use the outer conductor of high frequency cables
Apply tape of hard-drawn copper for mechanical protection. With
these means, a smoothing of the surface was neither intended nor achieved.
It is also already known, in the case of concentric submarine cables, the surface
to smooth the inner conductor consisting of partial conductors, but this is
Production of the exact, already circular cross-sectional shape. In contrast to
means a wavy surface in the case of high-frequency conductors in the outermost layer,
in which the current density is greatest as a result of the current displacement, a reduced one
Copper cross-section and consequently one
increased resistance.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. A thin copper foil b is tightly wrapped around the waveguide α made of round wires. The outer conductor consists in a known manner of tubular members c with ball joint-like connections. The spacers made of insulating material are denoted by d. A hemp rope can optionally be used to support the waveguide k.
