Process for the preparation of viscose solution.

In the case of viscose preparation, the previous preparation of the xanthate becomes common. in such a way that the matured alkali cellulose in the sulfiding drum is saturated with carbon disulfide and finally the excess of carbon disulfide and volatile carbon disulfide compounds are sucked off the drum, whereupon the obtained xanthate in a special, lightly built agitator by adding dilute lye to make viscose more desirable Concentration is dissolved.

According to experience, the xanthate, which leaves the sulphidation drum in the form of smaller and larger tubers, is enclosed in these tubers, always alongside oversaturated cellulose

process remain insoluble and then influence the filtration process following the solution by clogging the filter very unfavorably. On the other hand, cellulose particles that were trapped inside the crumbs and tubers of the xanthate during the suction process and which carry excess carbon disulfide give off this carbon disulfide to the viscose solution during the dissolving process, which is also undesirable.

The present method overcomes these deficiencies in that the xanthate is slowly dissolved with the diluted lye in a correspondingly strong kneading machine before the excess carbon disulfide is removed, with constant, vigorous kneading. In the viscous, putty-like mass that initially forms, the carbon disulfide excess present in individual cellulose particles, favored by the strong kneading and friction of the particles against one another, can pass into the not yet fully saturated cellulose particles and bring them to a complete solution and it no longer exists the possibility that individual cellulose particles evade the effects of carbon disulfide.

Only after prolonged kneading and after reaching the appropriate degree of dilution, the remaining residue of free carbon disulfide and volatile compounds is sucked off from the obtained viscose with constant stirring and in this way one that is almost free of undissolved cellulose and unbound carbon disulfide compared to the previous process achieved significantly perfected viscose solution.

To carry out the process, it is advantageous to use a kneading machine that is suitably strong and allows suction under vacuum, in which the entire sulphiding, dissolving and suction process can be carried out.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A process for the production of viscose solution, characterized in that the xanthate is subjected to thorough kneading and slowly dissolved to form viscose before the excess carbon disulfide is removed.
