Abstract
Los métodos para determinar la velocidad de la onda tubular en un pozo subterráneo involucran el despliegue de una pistola de perforación en una primera ubicación en el pozo. Se genera una onda tubular al mover la pistola de perforación. Se recibe una reflexión de la onda tubular desde una o más características del pozo. Se determina la profundidad de la pistola de perforación. Luego, la pistola de perforación se traslada a una segunda ubicación en el pozo. Después de mover la pistola de perforación, se repite la recepción de la reflexión y se determina la velocidad de la onda tubular al observar una diferencia entre los tiempos de reflexión. Estos métodos también se pueden utilizar para calcular la ubicación de la última reflexión.
