Abstract
Se describe un aparato y método para mitigar la formación de espirales en agujeros. El aparato incluye un adaptador, que ajusta la longitud del ensamblaje de fondo del pozo en respuesta a mediciones de tensión / compresión, curvatura flexural y/o torque realizadas encima y debajo del escariador de modo que la barrena de perforación y el escariador cortan a la misma velocidad e profundidad. El adaptador está conectado entre la barrena de perforación y el escariador. El aparato incluye además dispositivos de medición en el ensamblaje de fondo del pozo encima y debajo del escariador, que pueden medir la tensión / compresión, curvatura flexural y/o torque en el ensamblaje de fondo del pozo. El método incluye el uso de un procesador de datos, que determina que señales operativas de salida son suministradas al adaptador con el fin de ajustar su longitud y de este modo lograr las velocidades de perforación deseadas.
