Abstract
La presente se refiere a un reactor de calentamiento eléctrico que tiene un área de superficie externa, una entrada y una salida, en donde (a) el reactor es un tubo rodeado por un medio de calentamiento eléctrico a una cierta distancia; (b) el medio de calentamiento eléctrico comprende láminas radiantes colocadas coaxialmente con respecto al tubo de reactor, en donde el área de superficie de la lámina mira hacia el área de superficie externa del tubo de reactor que define un área de superficie interna del medio de calentamiento eléctrico; (c) el área de superficie interna del medio de calentamiento cubre al menos 60% del área de superficie externa del tubo de reactor; y (d) la distancia entre el tubo de reactor y el medio de calentamiento se selecciona de manera que la relación del área de superficie interna del medio de calentamiento eléctrico con respecto al área de superficie externa del tubo de reactor esté en el rango de 0,7 a 3,0. Los procesos de calentamiento eléctrico exigen la gestión de un perfil de flujo de calor y de temperatura. En muchas aplicaciones, el flujo de calor es mayor cuando el flujo del proceso ingresa al reactor mientras tiene una temperatura más baja. Hacia la salida del tubo de reactor, el flujo de calor es menor mientras que el flujo de proceso tiene una temperatura más alta. La presente puede cumplir con este requisito. El reactor es útil en muchas tecnologías de calentamiento y conversión de gasa alta temperatura a escala industrial.
