Abstract

Se describen composiciones de revestimiento que incluyen almidones con un alto grado de sustitución (DS) y viscosidad optimizada, para su uso en revestimientos de papel sin barrera. Se describe el papel recubierto con el mismo, así como los métodos para preparar las composiciones de recubrimiento y los papeles recubiertos. Reivindicación 1: Una composición de recubrimiento que comprende: un almidón modificado y al menos un pigmento, donde el almidón modificado tiene un grado de sustitución de 0,12 a 3 y una viscosidad de almidón cocido de 3 a 35 cps y la viscosidad se mide a 10% en peso de sólidos, 100 rpm y 25ºC usando un viscosímetro de Brookfield.
