Abstract

La presente divulgación proporciona una fibra bicompuesta que incluye una primera región formada a partir de un polímero de condensación, y una segunda región formada a partir de una mezcla de polipropileno. La mezcla de polipropileno incluye (i) un polímero a base de etileno que tiene una densidad de 0,920 g/cm³ a 0,970 g/cm³ y un índice de fusión, I₂, como se determina por ASTM D1238 a 190ºC y 2,16 kg de 0,5 a 150 g/10 minutos; (ii) un polietileno injertado con anhídrido maleico; y (iii) un ácido de Brønsted-Lowry inorgánico que tiene un valor de pKa de fuerza del ácido a 25ºC de 1 a 6,5, en donde la mezcla de polietileno tiene un porcentaje en peso de 0,03 a 0,5% de anhídrido maleico injertado en función del peso total de la mezcla de polietileno. La primera región es una región de núcleo de la fibra bicompuesta, y la segunda región es una región de envoltura de la fibra bicompuesta, donde la región de envoltura rodea la región de núcleo.
