Abstract

Se proporciona una composición adecuada para uso en aplicaciones de tuberías, donde la composición comprende: un polímero a base de etileno de ultra alto peso molecular que tiene una viscosidad intrínseca de 5 a 50 decilitros/gramo; una resina de polietileno que comprende un primer componente de polímero de peso molecular a base de etileno y un segundo componente de polímero a base de etileno de peso molecular, donde la resina de polietileno tiene una densidad de 0,930 a 0,960 g/cc; un elastómero de poliolefina termoplástica que tiene una densidad de 0,850 a 0,910 g/cc; y, opcionalmente, un fluoropolímero.
