Abstract
En la presente descripción se describen composiciones y métodos para mejorar o aumentar la resistencia a patógenos en plantas leguminosas. Las composiciones que comprenden polipéptidos codificados por genes de sitio de unión a nucleótidos y repetición rica en leucina (NB-LRR) derivados de leguminosas son útiles para mejorar la resistencia en leguminosas a la roya asiática del poroto de soja. Los métodos de uso de genes NB-LRR pueden usarse para producir una planta leguminosa resistente transgénica.
