Abstract
Un sistema construye una jerarquía para dispositivos de campo comunicados con una unidad terminal remota (RTU) recuperando la información de dispositivo de dispositivos de campo, cacheando la información de dispositivo en la memoria de la RTU, almacenando las identidades de dispositivo en la memoria de una máquina central, y obteniendo la información de dispositivo en el equipo central de la RTU en respuesta a los pedidos de los usuarios subsecuentes para construir la jerarquía, sin reenviar comandos para recuperar la información de dispositivo directamente de los dispositivos de campo.
