Abstract
La presente se relaciona con un aparato para llevar a cabo en un paciente un tratamiento de diálisis peritoneal con modalidad tidal de marea, en donde el tratamiento de diálisis comprende una secuencia de ciclos donde cada uno tiene un periodo de llenado, un período de permanencia y un periodo de drenaje, en donde el aparato tiene al menos una máquina cicladora que es apropiada para el llenado de la cavidad abdominal del paciente con un volumen específico de flujo entrante de la solución de diálisis fresca hasta alcanzar un volumen específico en el paciente en el periodo de llenado y para el vaciado de la solución de diálisis consumida de la cavidad abdominal del paciente hasta alcanzar una meta especifica de flujo saliente con modalidad de marea en el período de drenaje, en donde el aparato tiene además al menos un procesador que controla a la máquina cicladora en al menos un modo de operación de modo tal que el periodo de drenaje se finaliza antes de alcanzar la meta de flujo saliente con modalidad de marea de modo tal que un volumen residual permitido permanece en la cavidad abdominal y luego se hace una conmutación a un período de llenado y en donde el periodo de llenado se lleva a cabo de tal manera que el volumen de llenado del paciente permanece en un volumen permitido en el paciente por encima del volumen específico en el paciente a la finalización del período de llenado.
