Abstract
Se describe una proteína identificada que es codificada por una secuencia de polinucleótidos asociada con la actividad de restauración de la esterilidad masculina citoplasmática (Rf3). El gen restaurador de la esterilidad masculina citoplasmática se puede insertar a través de una introgresión de fitomejoramiento en genomas vegetales con el fin de restaurar la esterilidad masculina citoplasmática en los vegetales. Otras aplicaciones de la secuencia de polinucleótidos identificada recientemente asociada con la actividad de restauración de la esterilidad masculina citoplasmática incluyen una mutación (rf3) que resulta en, la esterilidad masculina citoplasmática.
