Abstract

Una preparación comprende un extracto herbal y/o fracción y una preparación farmacéutica incluye extracto de Curcuma mangga Val. et Zipp., que tiene bioactividades en la reducción de los niveles de expresión de 5-a-reductasa-1, receptor de andrógeno y PI3 en células de cáncer de próstata. El uso de esta presente se refiere a la reducción del agrandamiento de la próstata. Más aún, también se puede usar para tratar cáncer de pulmón y otras enfermedades relacionadas con la ruta de GPCR. Reivindicación 1: Un extracto de Curcuma mangga Val. et. Zipp. y/o su fracción derivada de él, en donde el extracto se obtiene por el proceso que comprende las etapas de: a) picar Curcuma mangga Val. et Zipp. seco hasta una longitud de 3 - 7 mm.; b) extraer el material picado de la etapa (a) con método de maceración y/o percolación usando solvente orgánico, en donde la relación de sólido a solvente es de (1:6) - (1:10) p/v, la duración de la maceración y/o percolación es de entre 30 - 240 minutos y los sólidos se filtran para obtener el filtrado; c) concentrar el filtrado de la etapa (b) por evaporación hasta obtener el extracto concentrado; d) añadir un relleno al extracto concentrado de la etapa (c); e) secar la mezcla de extracto concentrado y relleno de la etapa (d) para obtener un extracto seco; f) triturar el extracto seco de la etapa (e). Reivindicación 2: El extracto y/o fracción que se obtiene a través de un proceso de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, donde la parte del Curcuma mangga Val. et. Zipp usada en la etapa (a) es el rizoma. Reivindicación 6: El extracto y/o fracción. de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, donde el extracto y/o fracción comprenden al menos el grupo de compuestos que incluyen flavonoides, saponinas, fenoles, terpenoides, esteroides o su combinación. Reivindicación 14: Una composición farmacéutica que comprende el extracto y/o fracción de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, como un ingrediente activo único o en combinación, y portador, excipientes o aditivos que son farmacéuticamente aceptables y fisiológicamente adecuados, donde la composición farmacéutica se prepara en la forma de sólido, semisólido o líquido, en productos estériles y no estériles. Reivindicación 15: Un producto alimenticio o bebida dirigido a promover el beneficio de salud que comprende el extracto y/o fracción de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, como un ingrediente activo solo o en combinación.
