Abstract

Se divulga una composición y un método para la cementación de una tubería de revestimiento en un orificio de perforación de un pozo usando una composición cementante acuosa que comprende (a) agua, (b) una composición cementante que comprende (i) un cemento hidráulico, (ii) un polímero modificado hidrofobamente, (iii) un dispersante, y opcionalmente (iv) uno o más de otros aditivos agregados convencionalmente a las composiciones cementantes acuosas útiles en la cementación de tuberías de revestimiento en el orificio de perforación de pozos. Preferentemente la hidroxietilcelulosa modificada hidrofobamente tiene una sustitución molar de óxido de etileno desde 0,5 a 3,5, un grado de sustitución hidrófobo de desde 0,001 a 0,025, y un peso molecular promedio en peso de desde 500.000 a 4.000.000 Daltons y el dispersante es un polímero sulfonatado, un condensado de melamina-formaldehído, un condensado de naftaleno-formaldehído, un polímero de policarboxilato ramificado o no ramificado. Preferentemente, la composición cementante acuosa es bombeada hacia abajo en dicha tubería de revestimiento, bombeada hacia arriba en el anillo que rodea a dicha tubería de revestimiento hasta que dicha composición acuosa llena la porción del espacio anular que se desea sellar, y luego mantener dicha composición cementante acuosa en el sitio hasta el fraguado del cemento.
