Abstract

La presente se refiere a una composición elastomérica no expandida a base de EVA que comprende un copolímero de etileno y acetato de vinilo (A), una poliolefina elastomérica (B), un poliorganosiloxano (C) y por lo menos un plastificante (D), y opcionalmente pudiendo comprender además por lo menos un agente reticulante y un caucho o mezclas de los mismos. La composición arriba mencionada permite la obtención de un material con alta flexibilidad, dureza adecuada, alta resistencia a la abrasión, alto coeficiente de fricción y tacto gomoso, que puede ser aplicada en la substitución de cauchos, principalmente en la industria del calzado, pudiendo extenderse a otros segmentos que utilizan caucho en su composición. Presenta ventajas como reducción de gasto de energía en el procesamiento, reducción de residuos durante el proceso y reaprovechamiento de residuos en la propia formulación. Residuos provenientes del caucho vulcanizado pueden ser molidos o pulverizados y utilizados como carga de refuerzo en la formulación. La presente también describe el uso de la composición elastomérica no expandida a base de EVA para confección de calzados, preferentemente para calzados de alto desempeño.
