Abstract

Proceso de fermentación de syngas (Gas de síntesis o sintegas) que es efectivo para reducir la conductividad y proveer un STY (rendimiento de espacio-tiempo) de alcohol de aproximadamente 10 g etanol/(L·día). El proceso comprende introducir el syngas en un reactor y suministrar una dosis de alimentación de nitrógeno en dicho reactor de aproximadamente 100 mg o más de nitrógeno/gramo de células producidas. La fermentación del syngas es efectiva para proveer un medio de fermentación que tiene una conductividad promedio de aproximadamente 16 mS/cm o menos y un STY de 10 g de etanol/(L·día) o más.
